2 INTRODUCTION

Thank you for choosing AMC-Banking.

AMC-Banking’s vision is to make electronic banking possible everywhere.

AMC Bank Data Conversion Service was globally released with Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015.

After the release, AMC-Banking saw the need to make country specific localizations to help resellers and customers with the problems that they face in the standard Cash Management module. This is the first step on the way to resolve these problems.

We hope you enjoy AMC-Banking’s localization package and its facilities.


2.1 WHAT IS IN AMC-BANKING’S LOCALIZATION PACKAGE AMC-Banking’s localization package contains extra functionalities to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015.

These functionalities are:

Payable:

• OCR Payments (FIK 71, 73, 04 and 01) - Danish localization

• KID – outgoing payments (NO)

• Bank Giro / Plus Giro payments (SE)

• National Bank Code for International payments

• Payment advice to vendors (inform the supplier that their invoice has been paid): now it is possible to

inform a list of invoices that has been paid in the electronic file, when summarizing payments per

Vendor

• Positive Pay: electronic file containing a list of issued checks (NA)

• UK Payments BACS and CHAPS

• Possibility to make payments to vendors with invoices, which have the same currency as company

currency

Payment Reconciliation Journal:

• Improved automatch for own payments to vendor in Payment Reconciliation Journal

• Improved automatch for FIK payments from customers in Payment Reconciliation Journal (DA)

• Improved automatch for KID payments from customers in payment Reconciliation Journal (NO)

• Removed automatch for CZ version, because they have already extended the automatch (HF1)

This will cause compile error for Codeunit 6179294 AMC_MatchBankPayments in the CZ version.

CZ users can just delete this codeunit 6179294 from the AMC Package. (HF1)

Import of files:

• Import of Credit Advice (used for reconciliation of incoming payments in the accounts receivable e.g.

Lockbox)

• Import of Credit Advice futher improved to get all references from bank to use with automatch (HF1)

• Import of Bank Statement with multiple bank accounts

General:

• Check Setup report: verify the basic setup of the system, in order to use NAV with Bank Data

Conversion Service

• Corrections of Check setup report. (HF1)

• Fixed Import of Credit Advice with several transactions

• Localizations for CZ, NO, SE

• Correcting of error with ownreference, is now set default to vendorname in posting exchange data

• Install package on environments with multiple clients eg. 2015, 2016 and 2017

• Support button to email AMC in Payment Journal, Payment Reconciliation Journals and

Bank Account Reconciliations – This needs either a SMTP setup in NAV or a client outlook (HF1)


3 INSTALLATION OF AMC-BANKING’S LOCALIZATION

PACKAGE

3.1 BEFORE THE INSTALLATION

1. Make sure you have followed the steps below in order to have access to AMC package

1.1. Request access to AMC package:

• To be able to install AMC Add on package, your must have access to AMC code units.

• Request access her https://amcbanking.com/support/amc-banking/microsoft-dynamics-nav/start-here

• After receiving a confirmation that you have access to AMC code units, update the Dealer license file and import it into NAV.

1.2. Add the module AMC Bank Data Conversion Service to the customer license and update the

customer license file.

2. It is recommended to make a full export of NAV objects in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV

Development Environment before installing AMC-Banking’s localization package.

3. Make sure the installation is done with the Dealer License (in Microsoft NAV Dev. Environment / tools / license information / Uploaded), because the installation is exporting objects in *.txt, and customer licenses is not allowed to do this.

4. Make sure the windows user you are using to login into the NAV server has full access to the NAV

database on the SQL Server.

5. Make sure Windows PowerShell is assigned with execution policy “RemoteSigned”.

To see which execution policy is assigned, open Windows PowerShell and type Get-ExecutionPolicy

PS. You can set the execution policy type back to its previous value after the installation

process. If you want/need to set the execution policy type back, enter:

Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned –Scope CurrentUser

If Windows PowerShell is assigned with other execution policy, type:

3.2 IMPORT OF OBJECTS To install AMC-Banking’s localization package for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015 you need the files:

1. NAV2015_AMCW1800_V30X.fob Foundation package with AMC elements

X = version number

2. PackageAMCNAVBASISSETUP2015.rapidstart Configuration package with AMC Posting

Exchange Definitions

3. TAB1226_[localization]_CU10.fob You only need this file if your Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015

version is older than Cumulative Update 10 (Build 42222).

AMC-Banking’s localization package can be downloaded at http://amcbanking.com

If you are using a local administrator account for the server, please start the client with “Run as

administrator”

Start Microsoft Dynamics NAV Development Environment as a user with administrator rights to the NAV server / NAV Development Environment (Remember to start the development client : Run as administrator) and open the Database where you want to install the new objects.

Once you are in the right database, go to file import

Select the file NAV2015_AMCW1800_V305 HF4.fob provided by AMC and click “open”

AMC recommends to click “No” to open the Import Worksheet and see all object/Codeunits you are about to import


Now you are able to see the objects that you are going to import.

Press “ok”.


Click “ok” to synchronize schema now and upgrade data instructions in the table object.

Click “yes” to validate all table changes and synchronize the database.


When the validation/synchronization is completed, click “close”

3.3 INSTALLATION FORM To install the new functionalities, select “AMC_InstallModule” page and press “Run”

Click “yes” to open Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015 application

The options in the Ribbon has the following meanings:

Button Meaning

Install Functions Install the selected functions for this particular NAV localization

Restore back to standard Restore standard NAV objects back to before AMC package was installed. For more information, please contact AMC.

Import and apply rapidstart Apply AMC package setup to the current company

Setup payment methods Install the most used payment methods to the current company

Check Setup Verify the basic setup of the system, in order to use NAV with Bank Data Conversion Service

Open install logfile Open installation’s log file. This file shows all actions during the installation process

Open error logfile Open error log file. This file shows errors, when installation process is not successful.


It is also necessary to indicate a working path.

In this folder (indicated in the working path), the system will export a copy of your original objects, your original Posting Exchange Definitions and add AMC objects.

The library has the following folders:

- Target: the system exports a copy of your original (only the objects that will be merged

with AMC objects)

- Delta: AMC objects

- Result: Merged objects (target + delta)

- Log: log files with results of installation


Select the functionalities you want to install and click “Install functions”

Functions description

Bank Account Reconciliations

Install Customer payment import (Cremul)

install the function and add the button “Import customer payments” in the Payment Reconciliation Journals page and in the Bank Account Reconciliation page

Payment journal

Positive Pay

install the function and add the button “Export Positive Pay file” in the Payment Journal

Payment Methods

Install payment methods

install the most used payment methods for this particular NAV localization


If you get this message, select “Allow for this client session” and “OK” to go ahead

The next picture shows that the installation was completed successfully.

PS. If you get an error message during the installation, please find more information in the section 4.0


3.4 APPLYING AMC SETUP The functions are now installed and you are ready to import and apply the rapid start package.

The rapidstart is a configuration package with all AMC setup and AMC Posting Exchange Definitions.

Before you apply the rapidstart, make sure that you are in the correct company. If you are not in the company, you want to apply AMC setup, please skip to the company before you move forward.

Still in the AMC install page, click “Imports and applies rapidstart package”


Press ”Yes” to import the rapidstart packages

Choose the rapidstart file and press ”Open”


Press ”Yes” to apply the package

3.5 SETUP PAYMENT METHODS The next step is to setup the payment methods

This function will install the most used payment methods for this particular NAV localization

Click “Setup paymentmethods”

Press “Yes” to install the methods

The payment methods are now installed


The installation process is completed.

PS. After the installation is done, remember to apply the customer license again in Microsoft NAV Dev. Environment.

4 TROUBLESHOOTING

If you get this message during the installation, it means that your Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015 version is older than Cumulative Update 10 (Build 42222).

NAV versions before Cumulative Update 10 do not contain some fields in the table 1226.

To get AMC-Banking’s localization package to work properly, you need to import table 1226 CU10 (Build 42222) that matches your Microsoft NAV localization.

AMC recommends that you make a copy of your original table 1226, before you import table 1226 CU10 (Build 42222)


To import the table 1226 CU10 (Build 42222) and continue the installation process, follow the steps:

1) In the error message box, Click “OK”

2) To import the new table 1226, go back to Microsoft Dynamics NAV Development Environment and

import the table 1226 CU10 (Build 42222) that matches your NAV localization (File / Import)

3) Answer “No” to see the table 1226 CU10 (Build 42222) in the Worksheet


4) You are now able to see the table that you are about to import. Click “Ok


5) Click ”OK” to synchronize schema now and upgrade data instructions in the table object.

6) Click ”Yes” to validate all table changes and synchronize the database.


7) Click ”Close”

8) This picture shows that the table 1226 was replaced. Click ”Ok”


9) Run ”AMC_InstallModule” page again and follow the instructions on the sections 3.3, 3.4 and 3.5
