GENERAL INFORMATION

FACES is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, Employee Resource Group led by employees of AT&T. FACES supports diversity & inclusion through our four pillars of culture/kultura, community/komunidad, charity/karidad, and education/karunungan. Annually, we bring these pillars together to offer non-renewable scholarships to college-bound high school students.

Three students will be awarded a one-time scholarship: • 1st place student $4,000 • 2nd place student $3,000 • 3rd place student $2,000

Five students will be awarded a one-time $1,000 Opportunity Scholarship.

Additional award money will be provided to the scholarship winners sponsored by an active FACES member (with a minimum of 25 recorded service hours in 2019 for FACES sponsored events in the AT&T Community Engagement Volunteer portal). Applicants who are not awarded a national scholarship will be eligible to be considered for a state scholarship where offered.

Scholarship award must be used for the funding of educational goals.

ELIGIBILITY

FACES Scholarship program provides equal opportunity to all applicants. There are no restrictions based on race, ethnicity, gender, or social class.

Students must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the FACES Scholarship: • Full-time graduating U.S. High School Senior in good academic standing (minimum GPA of 2.75 out of 4.0 scale or

3.75 out of 5.0 scale), attending an accredited (2-year or 4-year) college or university in Fall 2020. • Student must be a United States citizen or a permanent resident of the United States. • Dependents of any employee of a private/public school (K-12), library or other E-rate eligible institutions are not

Application Available: January 13, 2020

Communication and application sent to all FACES members. Applications can also be obtained via email from the FACES Scholarship Committee

Application Due: March 6, 2020 by 11:59pm PST

Completed applications must be sent via email with all supporting documentation

Announcement Date: April 6, 2020

Anticipated notification of the Scholarship awardees

Award Ceremony: April 20 – May 1, 2020
