Flag Day Annual EventWe will be having our annual Flag Day event on

Tuesday, June 14th, at 11:45. The Color Guard will behere from the Charles A. Conklin Post #28 AmericanLegion in Grand Haven. We will raise the flag and singall-American songs with John Brunner and his familyand friends. The flag raising event will take placeoutside by the flagpole in the circle drive. We hope tosee you there to celebrate.

The all-American lunch will be served in thebuildings following the ceremony. Please let us knowif your family is planning to attend.

Penny for Your ThoughtsOnly a few weeks in, and I can’t

express enough the pride I have forsuch a wonderful team that I have hadthe privilege of joining. As I walk thehalls, stop in the parking lots and havevisitors in my office, people tell me howthis community and team have changedtheir lives. I can’t help but feel privilegedto work among such amazing staffmembers. Each of the people that youhave grown to love and trust have alsoopened their hearts to me as their newExecutive Director. A great deal of loveand respect that this staff has offered toother directors is now being shared withme. And I say THANK YOU. Change ishard and moving on is sometimes achallenge, but out of respect to thosebefore me and their loved residents, thisamazing team continues to step up tothe task of care for our residents andsupport one another. I want to take thistime to thank you, as families andresidents, for sharing with me about thewonderful staff we have at Spring Lake,and for welcoming me so warmly. I lookforward to getting to know each of you.
