any outdoor activity, from bike rides throughthe park to backyard football games. One ofthe more popular things to do this month is totake day trips to see a “cluster of leaves,flowers and branches,” otherwise known asfall’s foliage.

Oktoberfest Is a Time of Food,Fun and Dance
It’s time for the Stone and Village annual OctoberBazaar and Festival to be held on Saturday,
October 8, from 12 to 3 p.m.There will be crafters and vendors who will have
their works on display for you to browse andpurchase. There will also be Jannie Annie the clown,and “Paws” from the Detroit Tigers (If Available).
Entertainment will be provided by Helmut Kolke,an accordion player who has played over 35 years inFrankenmuth at the Bavarian Festivals.

Topics include soundwaves, ecosystems, food webs andconservation. See live US bats, SouthAmerican vampire bats and African fruitbats with four-foot wingspans. Thisprogram is provided by CranbrookInstitute of Science.
Yates Cider MillFriday, Oct. 14, our
residents will be goingto Yates Cider Mill.
The fun will start at10:00 a.m. with a seven-minute filmshowing us the cider mill and how theapples are pressed for cider.We will go on a tour, and each residentwill be given a treat. We also have theopportunity to buy cider, doughnutsand delicious fudge.
The bus will board at 9:15 a.m. andthe cost for each resident is $4.

will go to the Auburn Hills SeniorCenter for a Halloween Party.Halloween is always fun atthe Center.
Cost is $5 for lunch andentertainment. Dee must haveyour money by Oct. 13. Bus willboard at 11:15 a.m.
Also, we will be going to theSenior Center for their wonderfulThanksgiving Dinner andprogram on Wednesday,November 16.
Entertainment provided by TheBig Chief Barbershop Chorus.Cost is $5 and Dee must haveyour money by November 1.

Bingo Bash!On Monday, October 3, at 3:00 p.m., three American Houses will join
together for a Bingo Game like no other at The Village American House. Thecost is $1.25 for up to four cards. Bus will board at 2:15 p.m.
Jackpot will be at least $30.
Family And Friends Bingo NightOctober 24, at
6:45 p.m., join us at Elmwood American House for an evening of fun and“BINGO.” The cost is 50 cents per card. Invite family, friends and neighbors for
