Hopefully, everyone has had a fun filled summer! I would like to thank all the delegates who attended this years convention. The convention was a great experience for all who attended, I hope that next years delegation, will be as impressed. Welcome aboard to all of our new members, I look forward to seeing you around the post. The post is moving forward on some modifications. We are in the final stages of securing a new sign for the post. The sign has been an ongoing issue for a long time. The new sign will replace the original sign ( in Puggy's Garden ) and eliminate the old magnetic board. The new sign will be digital and controlled inside to display announce- ments. In other words, you will know what's for Friday dinner, bands, holiday announce- ments, etc. We will be having a sign fund raising event, ideas and volunteers are wel- come. Thank you to everyone involved in this endeavor. Each of your concerns were carefully reviewed and considered. We are also doing some other post improvements, like a motion is in place to have the flag poles moved to the road with the new sign. The floor behind the bar has been replaced. Some other maintenance issues will be addressed. A fall cleanup around the post is going to occur in October, TBD we will be watching the weather. I encourage everyone to keep an eye on the board, and come lend a hand. As many of you know, Former Commander Rebecca Stoll, has been down, but not out! she has been an active First Vice since her accident, not allowing her injuries to keep her from maintaining memberships, members needs, and responsibilities related to the post. She's recovering well, and you should see her around the post soon! We have had some nice affairs in the hall this year, and we have many more ahead. If you or a friend needs the hall, please contact the 2nd vice Marcelo Teixeira. Our dedicated Chaplin, Eric Malstorm will be relocating at the end of September, thus leaving us without a spiritual leader... anybody interested in this position, should contact a post officer. The same applies to the open Historian position. Please extend your thanks to the Chaplin when you see him. Respectfully, Mike

Legionnaires,

I hope this message finds you all well.

The new sign will be digital and controlled inside to display announce-ments. In other words, you will know what's for Friday dinner, bands, holiday announce-ments, etc. We will be having a sign fund raising event, ideas and volunteers are wel-come.

Respectfully,

Mike

AUXILIARY UNIT 276

Congratulations to all the new Officers for the 2017-2018 term!

Installation – Our last newsletter didn’t make it in time, but I wanted to remark that it was truly a memorable event. There was a lot of team work going on! I don’t want to leave anyone out, so I’ll just send out a warm thank you to all who helped make this event happen. And a special thanks to the Auxiliary members that helped decorate our hall, it looked absolutely beautiful. Rock’n and Roll’n for a Cure – October 14th we will have another impersonator show with Neil Diamond, Big Bop-per, Roy Orbison, Patsy Cline and Elvis. A portion of the proceeds will go toward breast cancer support. Tickets are just about sold out. Contact Ramona if you are interested. Halloween Party for the children will be Sunday October 22nd. So get the little ones dressed and come from 1-4 in the hall. See the attached poster on page 4. Dinners – September - Shrimp boil, October Fest Dinner - Sauerbraten

May God bless each and every one of you.

Yours in Service for God & Country, Ramona L. Conroy, ALA Unit President
