Travel to Cuba AMNH scientists have been conducting research and cooperating on projects with Cuban scientists and educators since 1985 and were involved in the effort of Cuban and U.S. museums to conduct a joint biological survey to help Cuba identify and manage its rare biological resources. From 2001 to 2003 AMNH Expeditions sent members on cultural exchange programs to Cuba. The lifting of restrictions on Cuban-American travel is the fi rst step in permitting travel for U.S. citizens and we hope to resume offering trips to our membership soon. To receive notice of AMNH Expeditions to Cuba – when legally permitted – please sign up for our e-newsletter at www.amnhexpeditions.org or contact us to join our special Cuba mailing list.
