To leave one country or region to settle and another. Leaving it, to exit.

Many people, like in a city.

One of 10 political units that Witch make up Canada.

A region that people can live in permanently.

Colonialism

When one country claims another piece of land as their own.

Glaciers

Large moving masses of ice.

Brain Drain

When the most talented people of a country emigrate for another country.

Tundra

Polar climate and vegetation region with few large plants.

Continental climate

Climate region far from the ocean that has a wide range of temperatures.

NAFTA

A trade agreement between the US, Mexico and Canada.

North American Free Trade Agreement

Ecosystem

Region with certain plants and animals.

Watershed

Region of water that drains to a certain body of water.

Reasons for immigration.

Push

Reasons for emigration.

Cultural diffusion

Spreading cultural features from one place to another.

Dictator

Leader of a country that rules with absolute power.

Deciduous trees

Trees to drop their leaves in the fall.

Coniferous trees

Evergreen trees with needlelike leaves.

Marine climate

Climate region close to an ocean that has little change in temperature.

Commercial farming

Growing farm products to sell to others.

Forestry

Planting, growing, and harvesting of trees.

A region with people from many different places.

Region with a few people, like in the country.

People who are native to a region before colonialism.

Person who has to leave their home due to some bad situation.

Targeting a person/group because of the religion, skin color, etc…

Trying to totally kill a group of people.

Natural environment in which a plant or animal lives.
