Abstract
A task for defensive players in soccer is filling in the
temporal and spatial gap to offensive players. This
study examined what bodily cues defensive players
make use of in order to start filling the gap. The result
showed that defensive players used visual field,
posture, center of gravity and distance to the ball of
the offensive players as the cues for determining or
changing their access points. Keywords Soccer, Defense, Temporal and
spatial gap, Observability of bodily movement,
