Outreach plan• The contest aims to find the best Android 2.2+ application to
enhance the lives of users who are ageing and/or disabled
• Deadline? – All entries must be in by October 15th 2011
• Promotion– Promotion to drive awareness and increase the number of entries will
be through online and offline channels

Workshops• Objective
• Raise awareness of Vodafone’s initiative in accessibility (inc Smart Access)
• Drive number of entries
• PR coverage
• Proposed workshop agenda
• Timeline: 3 – 5pm + drinks (may vary according to local market)
• 3 x 45 min sessions + breaks and networking. Each session will focus on a specific disability to educate developers what it’s like for an end user. Each session will be broken down in the following way:
• Personal experience: what’s it REALLY like using an app when you are visually/hearing/cognitively impaired?
• Tips and hints for developers to work through these disabilities
• Have a go….: developers to attempt to modify/create apps/concepts which will address these issues
• These sessions will be tied into the categories for the competition: Social participation, Independent living, Mobility and Wellbeing.
