1. Web 2.0 to Web 3.02. Blended/Flipped Learning3. Open CourseWare (OCW)4. Lifelong LearningQ: Are you prepared with 21st century skills?

• 21st Century Skills• 3 types: life & career skills (common), learning &

innovative skills (kemahiran insaniah) AND information, media & technology skills

• New paradigm: from teacher-centred @ lecture-based to Student-Centred Learning (SCL) whereby the bulk of responsibilities fall on the students as a knowledge-seeker while teachers as mentor/facilitator/guide

“We are currently preparing the students for jobs that do not exist yet!”

• Remember? Back in the old days…

• 1. From Web 2.0 …to Web 3.0

• 1. From Web 2.0 …to Web 3.0

Source: http://lifeboat.com/ex/web.3.0

• 1. From Web 2.0 …to Web 3.0• Web 1.0 – That Geocities & Hotmail era was all about read-only content and static

HTML websites. People preferred navigating the web through link directories of Yahoo! and dmoz.

• Web 2.0 – This is about user-generated content and the read-write web. People are consuming as well as contributing information through blogs or sites like Flickr, YouTube, Digg, etc. The line dividing a consumer and content publisher is increasingly getting blurred in the Web 2.0 era.

• Web 3.0 – This will be about semantic web (or the meaning of data), personalization (e.g. iGoogle), intelligent search and behavioral advertising among other things.

• If that sounds confusing, check out some of these excellent presentations that help you understand Web 3.0 in simple English:

• 2. Blended/Flipped Learning (L)Spectrum: F2F-------Blended L (e.g. PJJ) -------Online L

Benefits?• Learning on demand (LOD), save time by digitizing contents (LR:

year in & out), gain more time F2F to Q&A by flipped classroom/active learning etc.

• Students: NOT to submit but to publish their works!http://bit.ly/1cU9LWx on Blended Learning
