times lower than the other insulation materials, such asrigid foam boards, mineral wool.

VIP Design Review--Core Materials
Core Materials
Fiber direction, structure and physical property of the corematerial play very important roles in producing high quality VIP
with ultra-low thermal conductivity(K-Factor). Super Tech developedthe 2nd Generation VIP with K-Factor≤2.5mW/m.k.
Note: Diameter of Fiberglass of the 2nd Generation VIP is approx 6~11 micron, which conforms to European Regulations, “Directive67/548/EWG Note R, revised by Directive 97/69/EC Note Q” (the
classification as carcinogenic material is not applicable to fiberswith a length weighted geometric mean diameter minus two standard
errors above the limit of 6 µm)
The fibreglass used for VIP core material can meet the requirementsregarding regulation (EC)NO 1907/2006 concerning REACH. Super techis the only supplier who has REACH certificate at present time.
Self-produced Core Materials can ensure stable quality and promptshipment.
Always focus on research and developing the Core Materials toimprove VIP property.

In Dec.2012, The “Institute of Barrier Film Technology” wasfounded to research different materials, structure andproduction technology of film specially conforming to VIPBarrier.

Currently, the knowledgeabout film of most VIPmanufacturers comes fromthe food package filmwhich its life time isonly 1-2 years.
But for VIP‘s Barrier film,it requires much higherproperty that can maintainthe Lifetime at least10-15 years.

• The barrier film plays an important role in maintaining the service lifetime of VIP. Thereare many factors that can directly impact the barriering property. such as physical property, its structure, the composite strength, air-leakage rate of film, etc
• Film with Al foil is widely used now which the edge effect exists.• The existing Barrier film without Al foil layer couldn‘t serve 15 years . The expected film
will be without Al foil, without edge effect but with good performance.

Air-leakage Detector Machine
In 2009, Super Tech designed the 1st GenerationAir-leakage Detector Machine for VIP Barrier Film. Itcan inspect the Air leakage rate of the Barrier Filmand Bag by using the Helium Mass Spectrometer Leak
Detector.(The accuracy i≤2.0*10-9 Pa.m3/s)
In Jan. 2013, the second Generation Air- leakageDetector Machine with The accuracy ≤5.0*10-13 Pa.m3/swas used, which is more sophisticated. The machine is
helpful for the
developing high efficiency film.
VIP Design Review--Absorbent Materials
v DesiccantThe composition of Desiccant is CaO, which can only absorb mositure. Currently,most of VIP manufacturers use Desiccant as absorbent materials.
v Why DO need Getter inside VIP Panel ?Along with the usage life time passing, the K-factor of VIP will change becausethe inner air pressure will rise accompanying with below three reasons:
v 1). the remaining amount of residual Gas inside the panel even after
v the Vacuuming Process.
v 2). the gas released from fiberglass.
v 3). the external gas being penetrated into VIP.
The Getter not only can absorb moisture, but also can absorb the residual gasin the panel.
Using getter can help to keep VIP k-factor stable and prolong its lifetime..

v Getterv In 2010, Super Tech developed successfully the 1st Generation Getter.
v In 2013, 2nd Generation Getter with improved performance ,was developd. Itcan sufficiently absorb the residual gas and moisture inside the panel andcan keep the vacuum degree more stable.
Note: The Ratio of gas in Air is 78% for N2, 21% for O2, 0.03% for CO2 andothers for 0.94%.

VIP Design Review—Full-Automatic Production Line
• Super Tech are developing and designing a Full-AutomaticProduction Line---Combining the Core materials making,Bagging and Vacuumizing, testing processes into ONEwholely Production Line.
• This type of new production line is expected to put intoproduction in the end of 2015.
• By using this type of production line, the K-Factor willexpected to be at 0.0015 W/m.K(Ex-Works).
• We are trying our best to supply VIP with betterquality, stable property and more competitive priceto customers.
VIP Design Review--K-Factor Test Machine
• In 2011, Super Tech developed successfully it’s own " ST FastTester" Machine to measure the K-Factor of VIP.
• Having 20 sets of “ST Fast Tester ”machine at present time . (One “ST Fast Tester ” machine has 4 sensors. It takes about 1minute for one VIP K-factor checking.)
• By 100% K-Factor checking before delivery. quality control foreach panel can be guaranteed.
• Test capacity can be enlarged in any time according torequirements.
• A New Type of K-Factor Tester Development
• We are designing on-line K-Factor Testing machine, it isexpected to put into use in middle of 2015 together withFull-Automatic Production Line.
VIP Design Review--Aging Test ofActual Samples
Actual Samples Preserving and Tracking.
Keeping to reserve the actual VIP samples for each improvement during design orproduction processes from 2003 to now ( 12 years) in the Samples Room.
The Storage Codition of Samples: Room Temp: Approx 23℃. Humidity: Approx 75%.
By measuring the K-Factor to tracking the aging data every year can provide sufficientinformation for analyzing and developing VIP.

Remarks:1. The Three types of VIP samples were produced on Nov.25th, 2005,2. Keeping these samples in the Samples Room under the Storage Codition of
Room Temp: Approx 23℃ and Humidity Approx 75%.3. To meausure the K-factor every year as the date below, from
Nov.29th, 2005 to May 09, 2013 (totally 9 years).

v For 2nd Generation VIP, the K-Factor is < 4 mW/m.K .at 12 yearsaging.

v OpEx & Green Belt Study ----Super Tech has arranged the staff to participate the OpEx project and GreenBelt.The team is applying OpEx graphical tools in data analysis.
v Establish North American Office.In June, 2013, Super Tech established the North American Office to providethe Local Service .
v Establish European OfficeIn 2011, Super Tech already established the Office in Germany and Turkey toprovide the local service for European clients.
