design consultation37 & 37 reviewers

marketing, engineering, design, toy experts, client

the data

keep in mind: people will be biased if your prototype did not work wellideas seem less good if you can’t explain themgoing forward we are refining one idea to be closer to being a real product

fully bubble scores do not circle

or give half scores 5 is strongly yes

3 is probably yes2 is probably no 0 is definitely no

don’t marry an ideadesign is for other people, not yourself

I could foresee this being a successful product (if the team takes into account this feedback)

This prototype is well executed

Team Prototype Executionfrom reviewers

1. unpack/discuss feedback from review and play test 2. think through your redesign3. make a gantt chart4. yo wan*

today’s plan

first let’s look at what ideas the reviewers and client preferstarting with teams with the largest delta

*ritual "YO WAN” after team members have come to consensus - they all hold their hands in front of them at waist level with palms up. The team chants YO...WAN while simultaneously bringing the hands together in a clapping motion at chest height. The WAN syllable coincides with the clap. The chant is a good reflection of the group’s problem solving effort and commitment to the chosen direction.

unpacking

one comment/concern/suggestion per post-itgroup comments, see what patterns emergeend goal is to synthesize all the feedback to help inform your design

needs to be smaller for child

to use

game play is too complicated for intended age

group

where do all the pieces get

stored?

can you make this robust for dropping and

throwing?

Gantt Chartsbar chart to visualize a project schedule to show start and end dates of key elements of the projectalso can show dependency and who does whatcan update regularly

like a contract with your team
