only model .
On July 6th, JUSD Board of Education voted 5-0 to openschools on August 6th in a Distance Learning only modelwhere the child will access their classes at home andonline.
On July 13th, Governor Newsom validated the Board'sdecision to open schools in a Distance Learning model. Theguidelines are ever changing and JUSD will be monitoringthose changes regularly.
The board’s careful decision places the health and safetyof all students and staff as the highest priority for whenschools reopen in the upcoming school year.
WHAT WHAT DISTANCE LEARNINGDISTANCE LEARNING
WILL LOOK LIKEWILL LOOK LIKEStudents will be required to attend online daily direct instruction from their teacher.
Attendance will be taken from teacher-led online lessons.
In addition to online direct instruction, work will be assigned to be completed and turned in.
Grades will be recorded and posted in the traditional manner (letter grades for secondary, 1-4marks for elementary).
The standards taught will be appropriate to the students' current 2020/2021 grade level.

El 6 de julio, la Junta Directiva de JUSD votó 5-0 para abrirescuelas el 6 de agosto en un modelo único de aprendizaje adistancia donde los alumnos accederán a sus clases en casa yen línea.
El 13 de julio el gobernador Newsom validó la decisión de laJunta Directiva de abrir las escuelas en un modelo único deaprendizaje a distancia. Las pautas están en constantecambio y JUSD monitoreará esos cambios regularmente.
La decisión cuidadosa de la Junta Directiva coloca la salud yla seguridad de todos los estudiantes y el personal como lamáxima prioridad para cuando las escuelas vuelvan a abriren el próximo año escolar.

Los estudiantes tendrán que presentarse en línea cada día para recibir instrucción directa de sumaestro.
Se tomará la asistencia en base a lecciones en línea impartidas por un maestro.
Aparte de la instrucción directa en línea, se asignará tarea para ser completada y entregada.
Se publicarán y archivarán las calificaciones de la manera tradicional (calificaciones en letra paralos grados secundarios, calificaciones de 1 a 4 para los grados primarios).
Los estándares enseñadas serán apropiadas para el nivel de grado del alumno en 2020/2021.
