Remember When A Look Back In Time60 Years AgoThe Heavenly Stars of Park City presented a pro-gram at the Ebenezer Church with the proceeds go-ing toward the remodeling of the church.

50 Years AgoA new addition is being added to the Metcalfe Coun-ty High School. The building will house the music room, vocational Ag workshop, restrooms, and in-cludes a lobby for the gymnasium. The lobby will have concession stands available. Both the building and the new Elementary school building are sched-uled to be completed by August 1st.

40 Years AgoFirst Federal Savings and Loan Association opened its door to the citizens of Metcalfe County and held its week-long open house Feb. 25 - 28.

30 Years AgoCounty and City officials attended a meeting at the Green River State Park to discuss installing a 911 Center in Metcalfe and surrounding counties. The program sponsors, KSP and GTE suggested combin-ing several counties in the region to form a larger base.

20 Years AgoKingsford Manufacturing Company, of Summer Shade, has donated four Hewlett Packard comput-ers to the Summer Shade Elementary School.

10 Years AgoKentucky Down Under Kentucky’s Australian themed animal park celebrated its 25th Anniversary with special events, programs, and discounts during 2010. The park opened its doors on June 1, 1990.
