SUMMER/ PRE-FALL 2012: PART II
The contrasting styles of the 1970’s—Innocence and Glamour—are inuencing the prints and graphics of today.
Innocence:For this early 1970’s look, turn to natureand organic lines for inspiration. The arc of a wave and the soft curve of a the soft curve of a petal are all silhouettes that exude the 70’s vibe. For an added touch of sophistication incorporate natural textures within printstextures within printsand graphics.

70’s FEVER:For a different takeon the ‘70’s add atouch of sparkleand glam to the “yearsof innocence.” Natureis still a key inuence,is still a key inuence, but in a more glamorous fashion. Whencontrasting elementsare combined, more compelling prints are created. Try using lace, relections, or animal relections, or animal prints for contrast, while looking to MarcJacobs, Pucci, and Gucci for designinspiration.
