All site activities shall be carried out in accordance with the Contractor's Construction
Phase Plan and Safe Work Method Statements/Risk Assessments. In addition to the
hazards/risks normally associated with the type of work detailed on this drawing, note
the following:
WORK CAN ONLY BE CARRIED OUT BY SUITABLY TRAINED AND BRIEFED
PERSONNEL.
CONSTRUCTION
1) Working in proximity to live traffic and construction plant.
2) All existing services should be located on site as required by the contractor prior to any construction
works being undertaken.
3) Ensure adequate liaison is undertaken with residents and businesses within the site extents to
ensure safe access / egress arrangements are communicated.
4) Vibration from works operations should be avoided in the vicinity of buildings and utilities.
5) Any works to be undertaken at night should have adequate lighting available, and regulations
regarding noise must be followed.
6) Contact with carcinogenic tar based material.
7) Dust inhalation, noise and excessive vibration.
8) High temperatures from asphalt laying process resulting in burns and fume inhalation.

All site activities shall be carried out in accordance with the Contractor's Construction
Phase Plan and Safe Work Method Statements/Risk Assessments. In addition to the
hazards/risks normally associated with the type of work detailed on this drawing, note
the following:
WORK CAN ONLY BE CARRIED OUT BY SUITABLY TRAINED AND BRIEFED
PERSONNEL.
CONSTRUCTION
1) Working in proximity to live traffic and construction plant.
2) All existing services should be located on site as required by the contractor prior to any construction
works being undertaken.
3) Ensure adequate liaison is undertaken with residents and businesses within the site extents to
ensure safe access / egress arrangements are communicated.
4) Vibration from works operations should be avoided in the vicinity of buildings and utilities.
5) Any works to be undertaken at night should have adequate lighting available, and regulations
regarding noise must be followed.
6) Contact with carcinogenic tar based material.
7) Dust inhalation, noise and excessive vibration.
8) High temperatures from asphalt laying process resulting in burns and fume inhalation.
SAFETY, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL (SHE) INFORMATION
Notes:
1) Drawing to be printed in colour to enable correct viewing of symbols.
2) Do not scale.
3) This drawing to be read in conjunction with all other relevant contract
drawings and documents.
4) The Contractor shall verify the presence and location of all services
before undertaking any work in any area of the site by carrying out a full
non-intrusive survey of the entire site before commencing the works.
