Accidents Control Part 1

By: Luiz Carlos de Almeida

“"ZERO ACCIDENT ...

... IS POSSIBLE???

Control of Occupational Accident

Work = Economic activity or not, that covers all areas where there are employees, including government or autonomous, these places where workers need to be or where they have to attend, and which are under control, direct or straightforward, the employer or contractor;

Act Unsafe = Any action or attitude that is made with malpractice, negligence or recklessness;

Unsafe Condition = Abnormal condition of an area or workplace, causing risks not inherent in the profession left for malpractice, negligence or recklessness;

Dangerous Job = Work performed in certain areas of risks inherent to the profession, which must have pre-established controls the physical, chemical, biological and ergonomic together with patterns of operations for the protection of performers.

Accident = Brazilian law defines as any accident at work resulting from the exercise of that work and it causes, directly or indirectly, injury, functional disorder or disease.

As you see, under Brazilian law, the accident is confused with physical harm suffered by the worker (injury, functional

disorder or disease). From the standpoint preventionist beyond what has been said

above, is also considered an accident, any event which interferes with normal work and production, as well as humans, may be involved in accidents, other factors of production like machinery, tools , equipment and time.

Possible Accidents

Without the unsafe act / or;Without the condition Insecure / or;Without both ...

Not the possibility of accidents is equal or close to Zero!

Eliminating the accident

“ The only certainty in life is death ... We all die one day! "

But...

"If we think and act safely ...

Accident is not going to be!

"ZERO ACCIDENT ...

... IS POSSIBLE? "

And now...After the presentation we can say that ...

Control of Occupational Accidents

Yes!
