AIESEC in Thailand was founded in 1966 by
cooperation between AIESEC Japan and Professor
Dr Puey Ungpakorn, who was the dean of the
economic faculty at Thammasat University, AIESEC
began official operations in Thailand in 1968. In the
beginning the Thai economic association, located at
the National Education Committee Office, was
AIESEC Thailand’s main supporter and advisor for
our administration and operation. After that,
representatives from different universities began to
establish AIESEC in their respective universities

EsAIESEC Membership Information AIESEC members undergo a development experience
through gaining a set of competencies which include
effective communication, resilience, commitment to

The Global Exchange Process
AIESEC interns stand apart from the average young person, having passed a rigorous screening and selection
process. After matching the best people to each role based on criteria set, the final selection of candidates is always up to the employer after an interview process. AIESEC handles all logistics pre-arrival as well as
ongoing communication and community involvement for the intern for the duration of the placement.
Talent Pre-selection All candidates in AIESEC’s talent pool have been pre-selected based on their education, skills, language certifications, and leadership experience by a review board of professionals.
Needs Identification Your company identifies the desired internship profile specifying needs for education, languages, skills, work experience, regional background, internship duration and timing.
Intern Selection Within two weeks, AIESEC will provide a short list of the best candidates and arrange interviews. AIESEC will continue to identify candidates until your company has selected the best match.
Pre-arrival Services Once an intern is selected, AIESEC takes care of all the logistics including visa arrangements, accommodations, and airport pickup. Before arrival, interns participate in cultural preparation, integration, and goal setting seminars.
Community Integration This is a key characteristic that sets AIESEC’s program apart. Interns become involved in the local community and participate in AIESEC activities ensuring they have an intense development experience, not just a job away from home.
Ongoing Services AIESEC will facilitate service evaluations for your company and your intern before, during, and after the internship. AIESEC is committed to ongoing communication for receiving and responding to your feedback.
