•  Add updates on LinkedIn homepage (articles, news, etc.)

•  3 – 5 times per week •  Share other company’s statuses,

and engage with your connections

•  Follow other companies in your industry as well as your own employer

•  This info appears on the bottom of your profile

Exercise: Seek out professionals in your field and check out their profiles. Consider our tips for creating a good profile and then emulate those in your field that you deem “good” based on the previously mentioned info.

What are groups and why are they important? Groups are a place to stay up-to-date about trending topics and discussions in your industry. If used properly, groups can help you meet people and can present opportunities for growth for your company.  

•  Join groups related to your industry •  You can also join groups related to hobbies or

other things you enjoy •  Actively participate in these groups

The above groups are a great start for someone in content marketing!

Exercise: •  Join three to five groups related to your

profession •  Comment on two group posts daily •  Post two weekly articles to groups and follow up

on conversation •  Connect with two professionals in your field or

your target market each week
