Anleitung zum Tausch des Traggelenks bei den Aluguss Querlenkern

vom Renault Twingo RS, Gordini und WIND mit Hausmitteln

and WIND with tools you surely have

1. Freilegen des Gelenks durch entfernen des defekten Gummis

E: uncovering the balljoint through removing the defective rubber

2. Positionieren eines passenden Metallstücks. Bewährt haben sich Vierkantrohre

(40x40mm), Muttern von Achsgelenken oder ähnliche kantige Metallstücke

E: Placing a piece of metal: proven and tested are rectangular tubes (40x40mm) and Driveshaft

3. Anschweißen des Metallstücks am Traggelenk. Nur am Traggelenk schweißen!

E: Welding the piece of metal to the ole ball joint. Only weld on the balljoint!

4. Einspannen im Schraubstock

5. Lösen des Querlenkers vom Gelenk mit geeignetem Hebel: Brechstange durch das

Loch im Querlenker und am Schraubstock als Fixpunkt. Normales Rechtsgewinde!

E: Loosening the control arm from the ball joint with a convenient arm: Crowbar through the hole

in the arm and at the bench vice as fix point. Normal right hand thread!

6. Geschafft! ☺

7. Ausdrehen des Gelenks. Nun sorgfältig reinigen und das Feingewinde gegebenenfalls

mit Sandpapier polieren. Das neue Gelenk muss von Hand bis zum Anschlag

eingedreht werden können.

E: Boreing out the old ball joint. Now clean carefully and polish the thread with sanding paper. The

new ball joint must get screwed in by hand easily.

8. Fertig!

9. Das Werkzeug zum festziehen des Gelenks. Ein normaler Zündkerzenschlüssel oder

21/22er Nuss. Einfach soweit zuschleifen dass nur noch zwei Zähne übrig bleiben.

Diese dann in zwei der vier Löcher an der Unterseite einstecken und festziehen.

E: The tool for tightening the ball joint: A normal sparkplug or 21/22 nut. Grind that much that

much that just two cleat remain. With these cleat in two of the four holes on the back of the ball

joint, you can tighten the new ball joint.
