Anna-Kaye Robinson

In this story I learned about the Jewish holiday Yom Kippur in which Jews would fast.

• I also learned that there were more children killed upon arrival than anyone else.

This is a picture of the Cremation oven this picture reminds me of everyone who was picked in the

selection which makes me feel sad.

I also learned that in the holocaust many people were beginning to give up. Resulting in people were beginning to give up faith and

god.•

A Woman Sent to be Gassed at Auschwitz

These are the barracks in which the prisoners would sleep.

Barracks No. 6, Auschwitz I

This picture reminds me of section seven when people are throwing bread to watch the prisoners

fight.

Food fight in the Krankenlager

This is an actual photo of the gas chamber in which thousands of people died. In which I feel sorry for

them.

This is a picture of two couples at well. This was the last time they

saw each other.•

• I think that religion shouldn’t be a discrimination factor. I don’t find a problem in different people believing in different versions of the bible.

I remember that in chapter 5 Elie is in the musician's block and Elie is asked to have his

gold crown removed.

My feelings toward the type of discrimination that was present toward the Jews is I feel that the Jews shouldn’t have

had to go through that experience.

If I was to journal the reading of this book as an experience I would call it a horrible one. The reason for my accusations is because there were numerous murders, people were mistreated very badly, prisoners were whipped, they were all petrified of their lives, there stomachs were famished, etc.

This experience is definitely one that could never be forgotten, because everyday became a memory. There was always something different taking place. For ex. Witnessing someone getting killed, migrating to another camp, etc.
