Kimmel Center Cultural Campus
Dear friends,
Welcome to the Kimmel Center Cultural Campus, home to a rich tapestry of art and education offerings, from jazz to Broadway Philadelphia blockbusters, to comedy legends, family-friendly fun, world-renowned entertainers, dancers, storytellers, and 8 esteemed Resident Companies. Our 3 buildings anchor the Avenue of the Arts and house 9 different event spaces; with over 1,400 performances per year, we provide a broad and diverse array of offerings that serve the varied tastes of our audience. This Cultural Campus is an inclusive place to enjoy exceptional experiences that reflect the spirit of the Philadelphia region.
Our popular Broadway series kicks off in October, with a collection of shows boasting 44 combined Tony Award® wins, while the much-anticipated Hamilton runs August 27 through November 17 at the Forrest Theatre. We are part of the ongoing legacy of jazz in Philadelphia, and our season includes burgeoning artists and storied musicians, plus the seventh consecutive year of our Jazz Residency program, designed to foster the development of new jazz by and for local audiences. We offer programming for absolutely everyone, including our littlest music lovers; our Family Discovery Series returns, with kid-approved, family-friendly offerings to ignite a love of the stage.
Fall means back to school and, on the Cultural Campus, that means the beginning of another year of educating, engaging, and inspiring students of all ages with opportunities to learn and grow in the arts. As a non-profit performing arts center, our growing educational offerings are free and available to students across age groups and school settings. We have musical theater and jazz opportunities for students of all ages, plus master classes, student matinees, workshops, networking events, and more. Don’t miss out on all the FREE, monthly happenings, like our Latin dance party, La NOCHE; rotating jazz & rising artists at Sittin’ In; plus jazz & musical theater fun for kids under 5 with Grow Up Great.
As the Philadelphia region’s most impactful, non-profit performing arts center, we take our vision to transform lives daily through the arts seriously. Follow along with us this year on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, plus stay up-to-date on the latest art by subscribing to our weekly Ovation newsletter.
See you on the Cultural Campus!
