Good Content Can Be:• Short & Sweet• Detailed• Single-Topic Series• Contributed by Guest Bloggers!

Write when you are most creative, &/or can make time to do it, then use the scheduling option in your post creation

dashboard to auto-publish based on your content schedule.

Plan AheadWrite when it makes the most sense for YOU

Let folks on Twitter know you’ve published a new post.

Why?• Extend Your Reach• Bring New Readers• Start Discussions in another “room”• Improve your SEO

Extend Your Reach(Enter Your New Friend, Twitter)

1) The Old Fashioned Way: By Hand• Gives you the most control over your message

2) Let FeedBurner Auto Tweet• Helpful when you have pre-scheduled a post

3) The Best of Both Worlds (By Hand + Auto)• Use the Schedule function in your Social Media Dashboard (HootSuite) to MANUALLY SCHEDULE

the post as soon as it is scheduled to publish (or sometime shortly thereafter).

!!! Be sure to use the “permalink” noted in your post creation dashboard (not the URL in the web browser bar!)

Extend Your ReachThree Easy Ways To Post to Twitter

Become a Social Superhero: Week 2

Extend Your ReachDo It More Than Once

The Twitter stream is active & moving quickly, and you want to maximize your exposure:

• Use the “Schedule” option in HootSuite (or your preferred dashboard) to creatively tweet content more than once.

• Don’t overdo it. Be sure this is not the ONLY thing you’re Tweeting!

Be sure to let them know, by adding their Twitter Handle

to your Tweet!

Bring Others Into The ConversationHave You Mentioned Another Tweep in your Blog Post?

Check your analytics on a regular basis.

Items that receive high click counts may be worth posting again!

Analyze & RepeatHot topics are worth reposting…

What are these worth to you?

Time Commitment?Up To You…

Become a Social Superhero: Week 2

When deciding how much time you feel is appropriate, remember:

• Every Blog Post is a new chance to answer a question on Google

• Every Blog Post potentially increases your visibility online

• Every Blog Post is a chance to engage your customers or potential customers

• Every Blog Post is a chance to further solidify your credibility in your given industry/field.

It’s Okay…It’s really ok if you DON’T:

• Keep up with your content schedule every single time– When you miss a post because you are too busy…deep breath, reschedule if you

can, and move on!

• Have perfect grammar or punctuation– The rules have changed…folks are, for the most part, not looking to correct or

criticize. Do your best, if you catch a mistake, go back & fix it. Everything you post can be corrected at any time.

• Have something good to write about– We all have dry spells. Don’t beat yourself up over it. Tomorrow’s a new day!

You’re only human. So is everybody else creating quality Blog Posts…

that’s the point, so don’t beat yourself up over NOT being a superhero sometimes.
