WELCOME The GSMA Mobile World Congress combines the world's largest mobile
industry exhibition with an innovative and exciting congress featuring
leading mobile operators, vendors, and content owners from across the
world. The 2012 Congress featured 1,500 exhibiting companies and
occupied more than 73,000 square metres of exhibition and hospitality
space. The Congress also includes Global Mobile Awards, App Planet,
mPowered Brands, and more.
For the first time in 2013, Mobile World Congress will be held at Fira de
Barcelona Gran Via. This venue offers state-of-the-art exhibition space
designed by Japanese architect Toyo Ito. Fira de Barcelona Gran Via
boasts 220,000 square metres of exhibition space across eight halls
located in one of the major Barcelona business districts.
Come network with the impressive list of C-level attendees, premier
exhibitors, and captivating speakers while exploring numerous networking
opportunities all at the new location of Mobile World Congress. The venue
may be new, but Mobile World Congress continues to be the place where
the mobile industry comes to do business.

HALL 1 and Hall 2: HOSPITALITY HALLS Hall 1 and Hall 2 host fully enclosed meeting and hospitality space.
Companies may choose either Space Only Hospitality (designed and
built entirely by the exhibitor) or our Business Suite shell scheme
package where we provide the room structure allowing your company
to customise the interior to your needs. A Meeting Room option is also
available in Hall 2 which includes structure and furniture.
These dedicated hospitality halls are ideal for hosting high-level
meetings, entertaining current and prospective clients, and serving as
a central hub for conducting private business.
All space in Hall 1 and Hall 2 are intended for meeting and hospitality
purposes only and must be fully enclosed with no exhibits.

HALL 3: HYBRID HALL Hall 3 features a new stand concept to Mobile World Congress: the Hybrid Stand.
These stands combine both exhibition and meeting space into one footprint. Minimum
size stands are 200sqm with a mix of exhibition and hospitality. Mix should not be less
than 20%, i.e. 80% exhibition space and 20% hospitality or vice versa, or combination
in between. The hybrid stand gives exhibitors the unique ability to showcase their
products and services while hosting clients in custom designed private meeting space.
For all hybrid stands, the exhibition side will face the highlighted green aisles on the
plan. This will ensure attendee flow to the exhibit areas, while hospitality aisles can be
closed off with private walls.
For exhibitors’ convenience, Hall 3 has extended opening times and exhibitors must
ensure their stand is secured at all times.

Green aisles and centre aisle represent the exhibition aisles and cannot be built across. The
white aisles represent the hospitality side of the stand.

HALLS 5, 6, and 7: EXHIBITION HALLS The heart of the exhibition will be in Hall 5, Hall 6, and Hall
7. These halls feature options for both Space Only and
Shell Scheme stands.
Designated areas within these halls are set aside as
meeting rooms, enabling clients to have meeting space in
close proximity to their exhibit stands. All meeting rooms
come as standard furnished meeting room packages.

HALL 8.1: APP PLANET EXHIBITION Hall 8.1 (App Planet) is a unique area focusing on the latest technology
from the fast-moving apps industry. With more than 200 app-specific
exhibitors in 2011, App Planet provides an abundance of opportunities
for developers and mobile professionals to mingle and discover apps in
action. App Planet features build options for Space Only and Shell
Scheme exhibit stands.
The popular Application Developer Conferences run by our partners are
housed in the ground floor of Hall 8 (8.0), and the exhibition space is
housed in the first floor (8.1).

EXHIBITION PACKAGES Exhibition stands are charged per square metre and can be booked as
an all-inclusive Shell Scheme package – a pre-built stand with basic
furniture and equipment – or as Space Only. All exhibitors receive an
allocation of complimentary exhibition passes for staff and guests, and a
free Gold Pass for Congress sessions. Also, exhibitors are included
within the Exhibition Catalogue, the official Congress website, and in the
Product and Services Directory within the Exhibition Catalogue and the
website.
Space Only
Completely customise and develop your stand from start to finish by
constructing your stand in a Space Only footprint. You have total control
over design, materials, and layout to best promote your products and
services or entertain prospective clients. Space Only stands include a
power supply.

This ready-made turnkey stand package minimises your expense and
allows your company to simply show up and start exhibiting. The

HOSPITALITY & MEETING ROOM PACKAGES A variety of hospitality and meeting space options are available to fit any
business meeting requirement. These rooms are available to be booked for
the entire Congress for your exclusive use Monday to Thursday.
Hospitality Suite and Meeting Room Locations
Hospitality Suites and Meeting Rooms are found throughout the venue. Hall
1 and Hall 2 are dedicated private meeting areas and provide a quiet
atmosphere for conducting meetings or entertaining clients. Hall 3 offers an
exhibition-hospitality hybrid option. Meeting Rooms also can be booked in
exhibit Halls 5, 6, 7, and 8.1 for easy access to exhibition stands.

Executive Hospitality Suites (Hall 2)
Executive Hospitality Suites are highly functional meeting rooms that offer
undisturbed privacy in a formal business setting. The Executive Hospitality
Suites are fully equipped allowing you to conduct your meeting with
minimal preparation and no hassle. Each suite includes:

The Executive Hospitality Suites share a communal reception area,

HYBRID STAND New to Mobile World Congress is a hall completely dedicated to a hybrid model
stand. The hybrid stand combines exhibition with hospitality space in a single
location for companies to promote their brand and conduct business in one
footprint.
Minimum size stands are 200sqm with a mix of exhibition and hospitality. Mix
should not be less than 20%, i.e. 80% exhibition space and 20% hospitality or
vice versa, or combination in between.
There will be a series of main aisles where the exhibition portion of the stand
will face giving direct exposure to the attendees. The exhibition portion of the
stand must have a minimum of 50% of the sides open to ensure traffic flow.
The hospitality aisles will allow sponsors to build full walls for enclosed private
space perfect for client meetings.

TOOLS FOR EXHIBITORS
Exhibitor Manual
The Exhibitor Manual contains all of the information, order forms, and details
you need to ensure a smooth build-up and successful show. The manual is
the central place for exhibitors to find answers to all logistical questions
regarding the show, submit compulsory forms that are required to participate,
and find out about all other aspects of the venue and surrounding amenities.
MWC Connect
My MWC is a custom event networking tool, exhibitor listing, and scheduling
tool for the MWC attendee community and features the premier tool to
promote and develop your brand to exhibitors via MWC Connect. Integrated
within My MWC and the Exhibitor Listing on the MWC event site, MWC
Connect empowers exhibitors to reach potential clients before, during and
after the event to arrange meetings, exchange ideas and make meaningful
connections. MWC Connect is available to all exhibitors at a minimal
additional cost.
Exhibitor Marketing Toolkit
The Exhibitor Marketing Toolkit aids exhibitors in maximising their company’s
performance before and during the Event. The toolkit will feature event logos,
web banners, and an e-mail template designed to help you promote your
participation at Mobile World Congress.

Exhibition Catalogue
The Exhibition Catalogue is the official listing of all companies at the
Mobile World Congress. 30,000 Catalogues are distributed to event
attendees at registration, as well as through distribution at the main
entrance and entrances to each hall in print and digital versions.
The catalogue is retained by many attendees well after the event as
a regular source of reference. The Exhibition Catalogue contains all
the information required by attendees including the Congress
agenda, Village Map, and Exhibitor and Hospitality listings.
Website Exhibitor Listing
The Website Exhibitor Listing contains the crucial details of all
companies showcasing their products and services during the
Congress. This tool is used by exhibitors and attendees to plan their
Congress experience, set up meetings, and generate leads. This is
the 3rd most visited page on the MWC website boasting over
225,000 page views in the lead up to the Congress.
