Bilingualism (Multilingualism)

Individual Bilingualism – the

use of two languages by an

individual

Societal Bilingualism – the use of

two (or more) languages within a

given community

E.g., the bilingual setting in

India, Canada, Switzerland,

Malaysia, etc.
