Science Centre Station Update

• Existing traffic set up installed in early May and expected to be in place for approximately three months. Traffic set up supports piling, utility works and road widening

• Utility Relocation work continues

• SOE (shoring) for phase 1 is nearing completion with the drill rig now on top of the main entrance location.

• Excavation in the east tunnel has reached the first tie-back level and the tie-backs are drilled, installed and load tested making ready for the next lift of excavation to take place.

• The south section of the pedestrian tunnel invert slab is complete and the east wall will be poured this week. The west wall will be formed next week, followed by the roof slab. The substructure can then be backfilled and the north bound lanes on Don Mills can be reopened.

• Road widening operations continue at the curb lane southwest of the intersection making way for the full East/West traffic separation on Eglinton forming the central work zone for the cut & cover excavation.
