To all our esteemed Select members,
My name is Kazuhiko Mimura, I have taken over as the Managing Director of Bridgestone
Indian from 1st May, 2014.
I have been working with Bridgestone for overseas operations for more than 26 years, with
the background of Sales & Marketing. I was stationed in Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and
China. So, I speak Turkish, a little Arabic, and Chinese languages, and would like to learn
Hindi as well during the stay of my assignment in India and I am looking forward to meeting
you in the near future.
India is one of the most significant markets for Bridgestone Corporation in terms of potential
and growth. Our focus is to develop this market in terms of Retail Channels and Bridgestone
as a Brand. Our family channel stores form an important part of our strategy in our
endeavour to maintain our No. 1 position in the market, both in name and reality.
Bridgestone Select Stores in India contribute to around 50% of the sales volume in the PSR
replacement market. You have shown tremendous potential and have grown by leaps and
bounds. My efforts will be to take all the necessary actions and support the growth and
development of our Select Store Partners.
I am very excited about my assignment in India, and would like to take this opportunity to
thank our Select Members in helping us to reach to our customers and giving them a world-
class tyre buying experience at the Select Stores. I look forward to your continuous support
to Bridgestone in the coming days.

of our Select Store with Everest Tyre
Service, Vasai. The showroom was formally
inaugurated on Saturday, 11th January,
2014, by Mr. Vaibhav Saraf (Sr. GM - PSR,
Bridgestone India Pvt. Ltd.).
Dear Select members,
From the month of January to May, 2014, the Select contribution to Sales was 52.75%.
This was possible only because of your unwavering commitment towards the goal.
In the month of April, we bid farewell to our Managing Director, BSID - Mr. Tomio
Fukuzumi and welcomed our new Managing Director - Kazuhiko Mimura.
In the past few months we watched many activities and events unfold successfully. In
February, a Blood Donation Camp was organised by Manickam Co. Firm, Madurai.
We also rolled-out an ICICI Petro Card Scheme for our customers at all Select Stores
across the country.
The main focus in May was the Sell Out Scheme which was carried throughout the
country. This time around we offered a free laptop bag on purchase of 4 tyres. Apart
from this, a Summer offer campaign was flagged off, in an effort to boost the sales
of our FEM services. Discount coupons on Oil Change and AC Top-up were given
to customers who visited the store. Cherry’s Tyre Park Concept Store undertook the
initiative to promote discounts on various services at the store by distributing special
leaflets.
‘Environment and You’ – A drawing competition for kids, was held at SGS Wheels
(Pune), Lotus The Car Shop (Bengaluru), Shiva’s New Concept Store (Bengaluru),
Tyre Dynamics (Ghaziabad), Four One Group (Ernakulam), Parimalam Tyre
Agencies (Erode), Cherry Agencies (Bengaluru), Nanda Tyres (Pune), Bareja Wheels
(Faridabad) and Shalom Tyres (Trivendrum). Once again this event were a big
success.
POS Installation and SOP training continued throughout January & May, and a
noteworthy 260 stores were covered. We thank our Bridgestone Team for their
continued hard work.
We also welcome to our family, 11 new Select Stores and 3 new Select Super Concept
Stores and ensure them all our support for their growth.

Fem Activity The objective of this FEM activity was to
promote the allied services offered at
Select Stores.Thereby increasing the sales
of these Front End Mechanical offerings.
The activity comprised of discount coupons
for Oil Change and AC top-up. These
coupons were given to customers who
visited the store.
This activity was supported by banners and
posters which were displayed at the stores.
Coupons were also specifically designed
for this purpose.

To generate excitement and more walk-ins, Bridgestone has launched a Petro Card offer for customers of Select Stores under the Point Scheme. On purchase of 4 tyres, customers are entitled to a Petro Card worth `500. Alternately, on the purchase of 2 tyres a Petro Card worth `250 is offered. Customers can redeem this Petro Card at any Petrol Pump across the country. This offer is valid from 25th February, 2014 till stocks last. To support this scheme various POP material is provided to all our select stores.

The offer for the scheme was a free laptop

In India, today we have 51 million smartphone users and the count is increasing
rapidly. There is 89% increase in smartphone users today compared to 2012. People

Blood Donation CampOn Sunday, 16th February, 2014, a Blood Donation Camp was organized by
Manickam Co. Firm, Madurai, in association with Mithra Trust & Tamil Nadu Motor
Parts Dealers Association, Madurai. This event experienced equal enthusiasm from
men and women towards the cause. A total of 110 people participated in the camp
out of which 69 registered on-the-spot. All the donors were rewarded with a certificate
from Bridgestone and Local Madurai Government.

Bridgestone Japan globally by a 3rd party
vendor revealed that the gap between
