Definition ‘Decentred city’ is used in order to characterise City Business District (CBD) as a heat island which is formed due to adsorption heat from the thermal mass produced by the city.

City Business District (CBD) includes: • Infrastructure • Population

• heat islanding

• little day and night temperature difference

• a warming of 20 from 2048

• +100 temperature difference from outer suburbs and the city centre
