What is an EOC? A central location from which government at any level

can provide interagency coordination and executive decision making in support of the incident response.

The EOC does not command or control the on-scene response, but plays a critical role in support of the response.

The EOC is a facility from which the multiple agencies or organizations involved are coordinated.

EOCs at UNM and UNMH

Two different locations Two different sets of personnel Two different purposes, goals and objectives Same training requirements Work very closely together Exercise together Serve as backups for one another
