Can theyCould theyShould they

They did

St Louis was the place that Lewis and Clark started their expedition

It provided a start for them a way to begin their journey and thousands of others who took their journey too

Their journey started the movement westward and when they came back thousands of others wanted to take the journey as well to a better life, the sort of started the whole manifest destiny movement.

This is a fort that is stationed in Texas where general Santa Anna attacked brutally

Around 200 Texans were killed on this spot and that raged Texas in fighting back

The anger enraged general Huston and Huston caught Santa Anna and made him sign a document giving Texas independence.

This pulled more people west ward further into Texas due to it independence

This is the capital of Mexico The war between Mexico and the us

ended here with the united states winning

This added Texas, California, Nevada, some of Colorado, new Mexico and Arizona to united states territory

By adding these to the us territory, the us gain the states they needed to almost finish their destiny goal

Sutter’s mill is where gold was first found The owner of the mill actually tried to hide

the gold so that people from other parts of the us didn’t try to come and get his land

This sparked the gold rush that pulled thousands of people to the west to find a better life, or to become wealthy from mining gold

Which in turn put more us influence on western states

This is the end of the Oregon trail The end for thousands of people who

were traveling westward The Oregon trail brought many people

and their influences to the west

Georgia was the first state that decided to make Indians leave their lands

They pushed out Indians and sent them to a reservation. The trail they took was called the trail of tears

This lead to more repositions of the Indian cultures.

With this the us spread more of their own culture to their states bringing them that much closer to their supposed destiny

In the end all of their actions the united states finished their goal of manifesting their destiny of the west
