Canisteo-Greenwood High School Times
Alfred State College was the site of the region’s Special Olympics again this year. This is the seventh year that the Annual State Special Olympics Track & Field Spectacular has been held. Approximately 300 athletes from 12 area school districts participated in the events.
Our Canisteo-Greenwood high students participated in events such as the 25-meter wheelchair dash, 50-meter dash, 100-meter & 400-meter walk, shot put, softball throw, tennis ball throw, running long jump, & standing long jump.
The day would not be possible without the volunteers who help make it happen every year. Almost 200 volunteers from ASC, participating schools and the surrounding communities have a hand in the success of the event each year. Participants are greeted with hugs, handshakes, high fives, and ribbons distributed to the winners in each event.

NYSPHSAA Announces Canisteo-Greenwood a "School of Distinction"
NYSPHSAA recognized Canisteo-Greenwood as a "School of Distinction" for the 2018-2019 school year. In order to win this award, 100% of our varsity teams (fall, winter, & spring) must have 75% of their rosters with a 90% GPA or higher.
