asks the big questions

• Who am I?

• What are my most deeply felt values?

• Do I have a mission or purpose in my life?

• What kind of person do I want to become?

• What sort of world do I want to help create?

this place

makes a BIG difference!

So one day, not long ago, it became clear

and we knew

it was time

to go out on a limb

to become more financially sustainableand philosophically independent

to BUY this place at 629 S Howes!

and so… with no small trembling,

we gathered our courage

and a whole lot of love,

a little bit of luck,

$100 from a student

who had

total

trust,

(thank you, Andrea!!)

and faced the shadow…

Complete all steps required by Synod & Presbytery to approve purchase proposal

Hire development director, Katie Huffman

approve new vision statement

July, 2011 arrives with fireworks!

• 90th Birthday Party for Bob Geller

• $50,000 matching grant offered by the SarloFoundation

• $125,000 in hand

• $190,000 loan from John and Cheryl

July 28, 2011 Ken Pilot, Board Chair, seals the deal:

for $315,000, this place is officially ours!

Ah, yes, there IS the matter of the loan…

Sooo-o-o…back to work!

Len leads the way as an “Emerging Leader…”

Gary, David, Margaret, and Alaynnafollow suit

meanwhile…

and 2013 brings more

a-BUN-dance!

almost there….

Margaret steps in and says,

“I’m not just another

pretty face!Enough

already! I’m closing

the gap!!”

OMG!!!

after going to any lengths,

it is done!

after 3 years out on that limb…we’ve reached the fruit!

we’ve seen the power

We know the truth!

can I get an AMEN?!

There is no limit

to what we can do:

we are going beyond sustainable

to restorative!

this place is a welcoming, sacred space where souls can find community and solace; where every action has intention and every feeling has worth - and all life is honored: residents, visitors, and nature

this place is a beacon for natural, social, and

spiritual regeneration…

a structure in harmony with natural law,

a radiant place of health, beauty, growth and spirit for the community forever…

Miracles happen

…when caring people

with great hearts

…and small organizations

with big visions

work together

MIRACLES HAPPEN!!

and we’ve

only just

begun…
