Clear Pass

The candidate shows a logical approach that covers most of the key areas identified in the expanded construct. Any omissions do not detract from the overall performance.

CASC failure tips

• CASC is my life • There is ‘no life’ without MRCPsych• Life is a disgrace without MRCPsych• I am unlucky • I have never failed exams in my life and I am

failing- I am a total failure- I must be lacking something- losing confidence

• I will ‘do …..’ after I pass exams

in life• Keep doing other stuff/ activities• Family/friends support still there• Believe that failing in CASC as an opportunity/

and not ‘self blame’ or ‘lose confidence’

Anger/ negativity• No point to work against the RCPsych• ‘’They just want to make more money’’ ‘’want to

fail based on communication’’ ‘’CASC is a test of English English and not psychiatry’’

Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one getting burned”

Fear

preparation/exam)?• How do I work on this fear?

"Fear is that little darkroom where negatives are developed."-Michael Pritchard
