How many people are Visual Learners?Auditory Learners?Tactile Learners?

Definition

In a differentiated classroom, the teacher plans and carries out varied approaches to content, process, and product in anticipation of and response to student differences in readiness, interest and learning needs.

Just like us, all students learn in different ways!

How are these differences addressed in the classroom?

Differentiated Instruction

Goals of Differentiated Instruction

• To make certian that everyone grows in all key skills and knowledge levels for all students.

• For students to become independent learners!

What does that mean?

• Not all students perform the same tasks all the time

• Grades will be given on individual progress, not against others.

Class Motto

• In this class, ‘’fair’’ will mean that all of us must live by the class rules, all of us must work hard, all of us must respect one another and encourage one another. It does not mean we’ll do the same things all the time.

Parent’s Role

• Talk to the teachers! Parents see a different side of their children. To share this side with the teacher is helpful!

• Encouraging students to compete against themselves rather than competing with peers.

• Encouraging students to let teachers know when assignments are a good fit and when they are not.

• Volunteering in the classroom.
