The budget assigned for the refurbishment of this hotel was approximately AED 70 million. The colour scheme for the guestrooms was inspired by the proximity of the hotel to the ocean. Energizing colours like aqua, turquoise, lime and white were employed that not only brighten up the space but also add a kind of zest. A white linear high gloss panel with a mirror and a back lit coral shape mashrabiya spans the wall behind the bed and creates a dramatic focal point. All the fixed joinery items were maintained to be linear which creates a dynamic contrast with the organic and circular shapes of the furnishings such as the mirror, chairs and table. Furthermore, the corridors were designed to be a continuation of the guestrooms. A backlit panel of coral shaped mashrabiya, ocean hues and organic furnishings were used to achieve this.
