Assess Flood and Sea Level Rise Risk Leverage open data and open technologies to more easily visualize flood and sea level rise risk. Customize the analysis and share the results. Increase collaboration across agencies and communication outreach to the public. Pick from FEMA floodplains or NOAA Sea Level Rise Scenarios to estimate economic losses at the building, neighborhood, or city level. Pick from +70 datasets that represent demographic data and critical infrastructure – from hospitals and schools to roads and levees – for the most accurate, web-based climate risk assessment available. Our platform is designed for government users – from urban planners and sustainability officers to hazard mitigation officers and floodplain managers – who need to understand their community’s coastal and riverine vulnerability.

Introducing Vizonomy The explosion of location aware technologies and digital mapping tools has transformed how organizations & individuals interact with geography. At Vizonomy, we apply this insight to build a platform that begins to automate the climate risk assessment process. Our feature-rich platform meets cross sector needs in mapping, complex data analysis, and visualization. Let data-driven decisions support you to make a more resilient community.

Demographics

Building Vulnerability

Evaluate direct building losses using FEMA’s +500 loss assessment curves. Building footprints included.

Obtain flood zone and depth for the 100 or 500YR flood and the 1 to 6ft Sea Level Rise scenarios.

City & Neighborhood Vulnerability

Select +70 datasets from local, state, and federal sources to develop an assessment. Includes hospital, schools, roads, demographic info, and more.

Determine which assets are exposed by hazard scenario within a neighborhood, city or county. With your customized analysis, share results within your agency through a private link or PDF report.

Infrastructure & Critical Sector Vulnerability

Develop a vulnerability analysis across 12 sectors, incl. government, financial, maritime transport, health, emergency, etc.

Determine how many assets by category and within each sector are exposed to FEMA’s 100 or 500yr floodplains or to each of NOAA’s 1ft to 6ft Sea Level Scenarios. Assess which assets are specifically exposed by scenario. Includes asset name, location, and depth.

Social Media Real-Time Emergency Response

Easily search hazard-related keywords from Twitter using semantic analysis. Filter results by time and location. See which areas are likely to be exposed to storm surge 12 to 24hrs in advance, using NOAA models. Coming Soon: Receive automated text and email updates on upcoming hazard events and assets exposed. Use for coordination and crowdsourcing equipment location.
