In your own words, what is an essay?
Definition
Essays are brief, non-fiction compositions that describe, clarify, argue, or analyze a subject.
Parts of an essay
Introduction
Body: supporting idea (point one)
Body: supporting idea (point two)
Body: supporting idea (point three)
Conclusion
INTRODUCTION
Should answer three questions
What am I talking about in this paper?
How am I going to talk about it?
What am I going to prove in this paper?
Body
The Body consists of everything between your introduction and conclusion and it is where you discuss your three main points
Introduce your pointExplain your pointGive supporting ideas Explain how the point and
evidence relate to your thesis
Conclusion
the conclusion restates the introduction.
A good way to do this is to create a proof that might look something like this:

Remember: A clearly organized paper will better hold the reader's interest and convince them that your thesis is valid!
