Hasibat is the first IT company in Kuwait publicly held, and traded in the Kuwait stock exchange

Established in April 2004 as a Kuwaiti shareholding company (closed) with an initial capital of One Million Kuwaiti Dinars to cater to the IT business in Kuwait.

In March 2004, Kuwait Computer Company was restructured and the name was changed to Hasibat Holding Company

Began providing IT solutions and services in Kuwait & the region in 1983 under the name Kuwait Computer Company (Hasibat)

Hasibat was acquired by the KIPCO group with a majority share, in 1998 till 2001.

Hasibat was owned by Arabi Group from 2001 to 2007 who had almost 51% of the shares.

Till May, 2013, Safat Energy Company held the majority shares.

From June, 2013, Hasibat is fully owned by Sahara Petroleum Co.
