COVID-19 Vaccine What does it mean for Staff

If a staff member refuses the COVID-19 Vaccine• In all instances the first step that a care home manager should take is

to discuss with the employee the reasons for refusing the COVID-19 Vaccine, try to understand their reasons and attempt to alleviate their concerns or fears.

• If a staff member is not vaccinated, they will remain at risk of developing COVID-19. They will also remain a risk of being an asymptomatic carrier.

• As with all vaccines the COVID-19 vaccination requires consent, and it is not mandatory. All individuals should have the opportunity to make an informed choice.

Tell us your views about the Covid-19 vaccination and win a £100 voucher

Across the South West London Health and Care Partnership we are asking health and care staff to give us their views about the Covid-19 vaccination.

We are keen to understand your thoughts about the Covid-19 vaccination and we are gathering views to help support health and care staff to feel confident when speaking to the public about the vaccine.

Everyone who completes a survey will have the opportunity to be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 Amazon voucher. Please share your honest opinions about whether or not you would choose to have a vaccine and your reasons for this choice. The survey should only take around 10 minutes to complete.

Please take the time to complete the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/SWLCovidVaccineSurvey

The survey will close on Sunday 20 December 2020. Thank you for taking the time to share your views.
