DISCOVER HOW TO LEARNOur students learn to ask the right questions, try, make mistakes, try again, apply new knowledge and practice newskills. At every age, we emphasize hands-on experience instead of simply listening to a teacher’s explanation.

Younger students are motivated to “dowhat the big kids do.” Older students blossom as they take onage-appropriate leadership responsibilities.

Our teachers work closely with each childin our Lower School to identify and foster their natural inter-ests. This prepares older students to “excel in their studies andpersonal development”1 as part of Westwood’s InternationalBaccalaureate (IB) program.
