Current technological possibilities of production

• off-line production: at all programme, if the time line of production and kind of genre permits

• text file including subtitles arises after final cut of programme (timecode)

• separate text file including subtitles is assigned to the programme (broadcast system PROVYS) and then automatically broadcasted

Subtitling off-line

• news programme• one-time political and cultural events• subtitles are broadcasted manually in real time• crew of 2 people, in action during the whole day• broadcasting on-line (repeat + iBroadcasting off-line)• 20 programme per day (news channel CT24)

Subtitling on-line (LIVE)

• automatic transcript of voice to subtitles• just for voice of one person• necessary absence of traffic or music• especialy developed vocabulary• CT uses this system mostly for live broadcast of discusion in

parlament• broadcasting on-line

Automated subtitles on-line (LIVE)

• implemented element of respeaker• applicable for milieu with more responders• system is independent of disturbing elements (noise)• especialy developed vocabulary for genre• CT uses this system mostly for political discussions and sport

• czech titles for foreign programme in native language version (documents, performed movies)

• titles are implemented directly into the picture• broadcasting off-line

• CT uses sign interpreter in picture mostly for programme special devoted to hearing impaired viewers by content, or if it is not possible to produce subtitles

• audio description off-line: used mostly for performed movies, series, children programme…

• audio description on-line (LIVE): used for live news and sport broadcast
