DE Review Board Committee Update

•  DE Review Board (DERB) is the committee tasked with approving & renewing DE courses

•  DERB will be combined with DE Advisory Committee (DEAC) to form a single committee

•  Will be a standing committee of the Committee on Programs & Curricula (CPC)

•  Hard deadline for new applications to be implemented as of Spring 2017 (to coincide with DEAC first mtg of each semester; application to teach new DE course in following semester)

LMS Search Announcement (Laulima is current LMS)

•  System-wide LMS Search Committee (Hae Okimoto, chair)

•  Request for Information (RFI) Stage •  Currently 6 companies contacted (Canvas,

Desire2Learn, Schoology, Moodle, Longsite, & Blackboard)

•  System-wide presentations the week of February 13th and 20th via HITS (based at UHM) – schedule TBD

•  IF new LMS selected, full implementation by Fall 2018
