Lower back panelBlock 9
we continue the collectable series of
cushion patterns created by Debbie
Abrahams with this third instalment for
her latest design. Here we reveal the final
front panel block and the lower back
panel; next month we’ll have the pattern
for the final panel, so you can complete
this gorgeous design. The yarn, needle
and equipment requirements that you’ll
need to make the whole cushion are here.
84 beads; Yarn F, 84 beads; Yarn G, 96
beads.
Cast on 110 sts using 3mm needles and
Yarn E.

not indicated on the chart):
Yarn F, 1 row
Yarn G, 1 row
Yarn E, 1 row
note: Do not cut off yarns E, F and G.
Carry them up the side of the work.

With RS facing and using 3mm needles and
a long tail of yarn B (still joined to the ball,
leaving the ball at the start of the cast-on),
pick up and knit 37 sts along the cast-off
edge of block 8. Slip the sts back onto the
other needle so that the RS of the work is
facing you for row 1 of the pattern.
Work in the foll stripe sequence while
following the instructions below (this is
not indicated on the chart):
Yarn C, 1 row
Yarn A, 1 row
Yarn B, 1 row
note: Do not cut off yarns A, B and C. Carry
them up the side of the work.
Rows 1-4: Beg with a RS row, work chart
rows 1-4, rep the 7 st patt rep 5 times across
each row.
Rows 5-52: Rep chart rows 1-4, 12 times.
Cast off sts with RS facing towards you.
lower back panelnote: The lower back panel is knitted
slightly longer than half the length of the
front panel so that the extra fabric sits
neatly underneath the upper back panel
when the buttons are fastened.
