The Committee of Adminis­trations (CoA) extended thedate from Sept. 14 to 28 forState cricket associations toconduct  own  elections,  asper a media release from theBCCI.  The  Board  electionswill be held as scheduled onOct.  22.  The  extension  ofdate  is  in  response  to  re­quests from State units.

The CoA further asked theState associations to preparea list  of  representatives  forthe BCCI elections and com­municate the same on Sept.28.  Further,  the  State  asso­ciations have been directedto submit amended constitu­tions  (in  compliance  withthe  Supreme  Court  judge­

ment on Aug. 9, 2018) for ap­proval  to  the  CoA,  whichmet  at  the  BCCI  headquar­ters here.

The directions issued:1. The date for election re­

mains  unaltered  and  willtake  place  on  October  22.2019.

2.  Deadline  for  comple­tion  of  State  associations’elections  is  extended  fromSept. 14 to 28 and no furtherextensions  will  be  feasible,since the notice of the AGMfor BCCI elections has to beissued 21 days prior (to Oct.22),  which  is  Sept.  30.  TheState  associations  are  re­quired to send the names oftheir  representatives  to  theBoard for the BCCI electionon Sept. 28.

3.  All  State  associationswhich have not already sub­mitted  amended  constitu­tions  for  approval  to  theCOA; and/or appointed elec­toral  offi��cer  for  conductingthe elections; and/or issuedthe  notice  for  conduct  ofelections,  are  required  tocomplete all of the aforesaidon or before Sept. 12.

The CoA will neither takecognisance  of  any  requestfor  extension  of  time  fromState  associations  or  theirelectoral offi��cers who do notcomplete all the three condi­tions before the Sept. 12 dea­dline, nor entertain any re­quest to vet the constitutionor amended versions there­of  submitted  beyond  thesaid deadline.
