• The first 10 years the service operated as a traditional supercomputer centre – with traditional big iron and traditional top sliced central funding, traditional UK University service model

• Five years ago the HPC provision within Cambridge underwent major restructuring to become a customer focused HPC service with a self-sustaining charge at point of use HPC cloud business model
