Sunday 11th September

Arrival at Heathrow

Meet and greet with SIS representatives at the airport, transfer by private coach to

London for a two night stay

Monday 12th September

8am: Breakfast

9.30am: Coach departs for tour of London

From 10.30am: Visit to the London Eye to see the fantastic sights of London from the

sky!!

Double decker bus tour of London stopping at Westminster for a cruise to Tower Bridge

and the Tower of London. Stop for lunch. Continue with bus tour to Covent Garden.

Afternoon: Covent Garden with free time for shopping, dinner and enjoying the

performances of the street performers and buskers.

Approx 9pm: Return to accommodation to retire for the evening.

Tuesday 13th September

8am: Breakfast

9am: Coach departs for Knightsbridge

Natural History Museum/Science Museum/V&A Museum.

Packed lunch/Hyde Park

2pm depart for journey to Scarborough (refreshment stops)

Approximately 8pm: meet and greet with host families at Cheswold Hall.

Evening and dinner with host family.

Wednesday 14th September

9 -11am. Welcome - Induction – Meet the staff.

11 – 1pm Classes. “All about Scarborough”

1pm “Fish n Chips” Lunch and Scarborough town tour.

Evening free – Get to know your host family.

Thursday 15th September

9am – 1pm: Project Work. Yorkshire Pudding Day (researching Yorkshire’s favourite culinary

creation)

Situational English – Shop for the ingredients needed to make your own Yorkshire puddings.

1-2pm: Lunch

Afternoon Activity: Indoor/outdoor sports – weather dependent

Evening will be spent with host families preparing Yorkshire puddings – there will be a prize

for the best pictures and tallest puddings!

Friday, 16th September

Project classes “The Vikings”

Visit to Scarborough Castle

Ten Pin bowling

Saturday 17th September

9am: Coach departs for City of York

10am: Visit to Jorvik Viking Centre.

Free time in the afternoon to explore The famous “Shambles’ and shops.

Sunday 18th September

Manchester United and shopping at the Trafford Centre

Monday 19th September

Hole of Horcum hike

Tuesday 20th September

10am: Depart for Falling Foss

Depart for Whitby for "Fright Night" - overnight stay and an evening of Dracula,

vampires and ghosts!!!

Wednesday 21st September

9 – 1 Project class: Preparation for Edinburgh and the Lake District.

2pm- 4pm: Afternoon activity TBC

Free evening to pack and prepare for Edinburgh and the Lake District

Thursday 22nd September

7am: Depart for Edinburgh. Stop on way for visit to Alnwick Castle.

Picnic lunch provided by hosts

Includes entry and lessons on how to fly your own broomstick

Approx 6pm. Arrive in Edinburgh and accommodation.

Time to relax and freshen up before dinner and visit to the Real Mary King’s Close, (the

hidden underground city vaults).

10pm (approx). Return to accommodation.

Friday 23rd September

8am Breakfast

Visit to the Scott Memorial and free time for shopping on the famous Princes Street.

Picnic lunch

3pm: Depart for Ambleside and the Lake District.

6pm: (approx.) Arrive at Ambleside. Evening dinner and overnight stay.

Saturday 24th September

8am: Breakfast

9am: Depart for Lakeside Cruise and tree tops rope course/zip wire and afternoon of

kayaking/boating.

Approx 4pm depart for Scarborough and dinner with Homestay.

Sunday 25th September

Free day with Homestay.

Monday 26th September

9am: Depart for FLAMINGO LAND!!

Tuesday 27th September

9 – 1pm: Project classes for Liverpool, “The Beatles Story” and Liverpool's maritime

history

Afternoon – Scarborough College

Wednesday 28th September

Liverpool – visit the home of the Beatles and one of Britain’s historic port cities.

Thursday 29th September

9-1pm: Project classes – History of Shakespeare (feedback forms).

Certificates and farewell.

Depart for Stratford.

Friday 30th September

Visit to Shakespeare’s birthplace and grave.

Oxford College visit - visit to Christ Church College, better known as Hogwarts.

Overnight Stay.

Saturday 1st October

Depart for Heathrow Airport
