Making the Digipack

Front Cover

Image Manipulation

• The first thing I did with this image was crop it using the crop tool. I cropped it to the size of a digipack cover which is 12cmx12cm.

• I then lowered the saturation to -98, and increased the brightness (+30) and contrast (+30).

• This has allowed my digipack to link in with my music video as my video is also in high contrast black and white.

Text Added to Cover

Manipulation of Text

• I have added text to my front cover as all digipacks have text on their front cover. I made the artist name the biggest piece of text as most digipacks have the name of the artist as the biggest piece of text. I also made the artist name bold so that it stands out more and is more noticeable.

• This is to the left of the front cover and would be an outside flap of the digipack.

• It has had the filters in the previous two slides applied because it needs to fit in with the colour of the digipack and also allows it to fit in with the music video for the same reasons.

Left Exterior Side/Back Cover

Blurring out the Background

• This will be the back cover of the digipack.• It has had the same filters applied as the last

image so it matches the rest of the digipack and links in with my music video.

• I have also blurred out the background using the blur brush tool. This is because there was too much focus on the stuff around her in the original image and this has allowed for more focus on her.

Text Added

Justification

• I have added information about the tracks included because all back covers include information about the tracks. I have used the same font as the front cover to make it match a consistent house style. I have made the track numbers different colours so that it stands out against the track titles.

• I have included a bar code and the record label logo as this is again general conventions of my digipack based on my research.

Interior Centre

Image Manipulation

• This is the centre of the interior of the digipack.

• It has had saturation lowered to -100, brightness increased by 42 and contrast increased by 35. This is so that it matches the rest of the digipack and links in with the music video.

Interior Left

Image Manipulation

• This is the left side of the interior of the digipack.

• It has had saturation lowered to -100, brightness increased by 49 and contrast increased by 34. This is so that it matches the rest of the digipack and links in with the music video.

Interior Right

• This is the left side of the interior of the digipack.

• It has had saturation lowered to -100, brightness increased by 64 and contrast increased by 49. This is so that it matches the rest of the digipack and links in with the music video.
