2) Generalities
The E@syCarb terminal is a private fleet management system connected to the EasyConnect software. It allows to access at (to) a fuel dispensing (3 product maximum) a vehicle or/and a person. It regroups in one device the site controller functions, the HMI interface (terminal) and product counting (metering). EasyC@rb is principally intented to basic architecture site (managing a single dispenser). Hence there is no rs485 local network to deploy.
Even so, for the more important (“meaty”) site where the usage, for example, who requires the addition of terminal, calculator or the both. In consequence, the cabling in Rs485 protocol is necessary in.
The EasyCarb Terminal manages a LCD screen divided in 2 separates zone. The upper display zone is used for the refueling (volume display, product, and nozzle)The lower display zone is constituted with 4 lines, 20 digits each. It’s used for managing authorization. The EasyC@rb terminal has got a 21 Alfa numeric keyboard (cell-phone type) with 21 keys. The EasyC@rb allows to:
Identify a person with the following means:o Alfa numeric keypad (cellular phone type) of 21 keys.o Lafon badgeso Abipass Lafon antennao ISO2 Magnetic cardo RFID badges (contactless)o ISO 7816 Smart card
After identification, an authorization can be issued or denied for a refueling.
The EasyC@rb license can’t manage access or washing. For this features an add-on license is necessary.

If the EasyC@rb card required to be connected on the Rs485 network with a STP cable we recommend using this one:
Rs485 cable reference: BELDEN 1 Shielded Twisted-Pair (0.22 mm² section). With drain. Part Number: B9841 .
b) Rs485 Local Network cabling rulesHere below the rs485 typology. It’s also the only way to connect any devices on it and to make it properly.
EasyC@rb device is of 2 Rs485 connectors. Bus type:
Note: The EasyC@rb Terminal is equipped with a single rs485 connector. (3 wires, 3 channels from up to down: C, B, and A)
Warning: It’s strictly forbidden to cable, to make an RS485 network wiring star:

The Rs485 3 wires connection from the first to the last card respects this following links:I. A to AII. B to BIII. C to C (cable shielding)
On the Rs485 network, each (1 and 2 on the scheme) ENDPOINT’s resistors terminations must be necessary switched on. The 2 switches are activated to eliminate any kind of reflection line. (See the Establishment Map).
15) The DisplayThe EasyC@rb Card has 2 pin connectors which can drive 2 black-lighted display panels of 128*64 dots each.
Their displayed data are strictly the same. So, it allows making for (give, assure) the recopy feature.
Or: As the transmitted data from each connector are the same. It enables to ensure the recopy feature
On each display, 2 specific areas have been created.
Upper zone: Numerical information data. This area displays data related to Volume, summarizing (total) and error during refueling.
Lower zone: 4 lines. This area is reserved to inform the user about the site management.
It displays: Names, wording, date/hours, identification, messages, and device configuration

(The volume's amount displayed and dispensed is a single one.)Respectively the channel A is for the first nozzle, B for the second and C for the third.Note:For a single nozzle, theses both functioning modes (1F 1P and CS 1P) are nearly the same.
b. Counting channelFor each pulse entries, it can be possible to determinate the number of counting (metering) voices.
To each pulse entry, it can be to define the number of counting channel (1 or 2). In fact … . In the case where only 1 counting (metering) channel is configured. The disconnection control system of the counting (metering) voice of the calculator is disabled.
Example: Process to define 1 single counting entry from the dispenser number 3.

c. FunctioningThis calculator (device) could be sets up to a Stand-Alone or a Connected Mode.Without any identification from the site controller, the Stand-Alone mode permits toInitialize (drive) a dispensing (delivery, refueling). So, the fuel feature functioning can be tested with autonomous manner. This mode is very useful just to diagnose all the features like gauging, flow rate… It must be used as (like) the first help tool. The connected mode allows that it will be managed by the software management. The fuel delivery can be available only after the first user identification. This is the standard functioning mode.
d. Pulse WeightA pulse weight is associated (linked) to each counting (metering) channel (3 channels maximum). This parameter (setting) is the average, the score between the… (This parameter is function of cyclical volume from meter and the associated pulser. (E.g.)For example:The programmed weight pulse to a 0.5 L (liter) cyclical volume meter with a 50 pulse’s 2 channel pulser is: P= 0.5/ (50*2*2) = 0.0025 L. So, it’s equal to 2500 µL.From.
e. GaugingAfter choosing the Nozzle, follow the recommended instructions has been displayed on. The system asks you to:
1- Unhook a nozzle (well, the pumping device is commanded)2- Making a gauging. 3- Re-lift the nozzle (When the gauging is done. Therefore, the engine and the pump group stop)4- Type the gauging amount onto the keyboard. Yours typed values must have 3 digits after the
decimal point. After your validation, the pulse weight has been automatically calculated and it can be consulted.
To check it, re-entry in the same menu as describe in the previous chapter (“d)”).
