Each post visually depicts one of these ten NKCC values
A visual was created early on to promote the project
Two artists from Future Creative worked collaboratively on the delivery of this project
Andy Evans Rob Turner
Each artist interpreted a set of ten markers with ideas generated by local groups
Design Workshops these were carried out in local schools and with local community groups
These examples drawn by students at Ifield Road special needs school.

friendship and family flexibility participation
The motifs have been received well by the residents,Some even asking for extra posts for their own gardens
Young children were confused saying, ‘what will you do with them now, sell them?’ ‘No, we made them for you. We will put them in the park for you and your friends and family to enjoy’.‘What there for display?......cool’
‘Can I have a picture of me holding my one?’
Interest has already been shown in developing a longerlegacy for these motifs by incorporating them within the fabric of the new NKCC building. They are transferable into other materials, including profile cutting for metal railings, etched onto glass, sand blasted into stone and used in vinyl cut out processes.
They could also be scaled up and painted onto the existing green hoardings, while building is still being carried out.
