In family companies values are embedded in the organisation in a natural way. They integrate
all the activities of the company and they play the key role in its efficient functioning. Correctly
formulated values allow for achieving strategic objectives and they are instrumental in devel-
oping the competitive advantage. The family system of values is the foundation which unites
the owner, the Customers and the Employees. We believe that this aspect, in connection with
the background of over 80 years of family tradition and experience, contribute to the continu-
ous development of Raben Group.

InherentresponsibilityEach company is responsible for the con-
sequences of its operations for the society
and the natural environment. CSR is not only
about abiding by the law. It also means con-
ducting business activities in a transparent
and ethical manner taking into account the
expectations of the stakeholders. Social re-
sponsibility understood in this way is an in-
separable element of Raben Group’s DNA.
It is visible at all levels of conducting busi-
ness. Ecological and energy-saving solu-
tions in the warehouse, low-emission fleet,
ethical rules for all entities who act for and
on behalf of Raben Group are examples of
management which guarantees sustainable
and continuous development - not only to-
day but also in the future.
The logistics operator is an important seg-
ment of the responsible supply chain of
every enterprise. Every day we work for
the common good. We conserve natural
resources; we measure, report and lower
emissions of greenhouse gasses. We prop-
agate road safety and the role of transport
among adults and children alike.
Responsibility is a process rather than a
state. We are constantly changing our ser-
vices and procedures to earn the title of a
responsible company. We are learning and
teaching others how to positively influence
the environment. We carry out Employees’
voluntary programmes in order to change
our local reality. We want the next genera-
tions to have access to the same resources
we are using now. We wish to be the friendly
drive of the future.

ropean market for over 80 years. The Group

ness Units of the Group are located in 10
countries of Europe, in the Czech Republic,
Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Lithua-
nia, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia and
Ukraine.
We offer solutions for large, medium and
small enterprises. Advanced transport and
Customer relations management systems
allow us to tailor each service to individual
needs. We want our services to fully meet
the expectations and satisfy the needs of our
Customers. Thanks to the flat organisational
structure and the fast decision-making pro-
cess we are able to develop Raben and Fresh
Logistics brands and offer services which are
the answer to the requirements of our Cus-
tomers.
9
Fresh LogisticsComprehensive logistics service

controlled temperature from 0°C to
+2°C and from +2°C to +6°C in the
whole logistics chain) offered to local
manufacturers and importers, as well
as to global concerns.
Lead Logistics ProviderIt is the new dimension of logistics.
Raben Group assumes the role of the
integrator of logistics operations in
the whole Customer’s supply chain.
From the transport of raw materials to
the distribution to end users.
Road NetworkMany years of experience gathered on
national and international distribution
markets and the developed
infrastructure of own terminals allow
for quick and efficient execution of
Customers’ orders of road transport.
Sea & AirIt is a comprehensive logistics service
for shipments dispatched globally.
Apart from the transport of goods,
it covers comprehensive customs
services. High flexibility allows for
integrating the processes with other

Innovativeness is a way of thinkingIT tools and solutions are elements without
which the contemporary logistics would not
exist. Warehouse Management Systems
(WMS) are a necessity today. They offer a
wide array of functions required to control
operations and adjust them to the Custom-
er’s needs.
Thanks to other advanced solutions we also
monitor transport processes. In the world of
logistics the time of delivery and the quality
define Customer satisfaction. Nevertheless,
it is impossible to keep on increasing the
speed of transporting shipments. We are
looking for ways which let us find the time
where others are not able to spot it.
So how is it possible to increase
the effectiveness of opera-
tions? Introduce more improve-
ments in the warehouse and in
transport? Implement solutions
which answer the demands of
our Customers, e.g. the grow-
ing e-commerce market?
Innovativeness is not only about
ground-breaking solutions but also about
executing old operations in a more effec-
tive way. It is the courage and consistency
in going beyond the paradigms of our own
reasoning.
The impulse. The brainwave. Sometimes a
moment decides about a solution which en-
ters the market and is able to transform the
reality. However, not every solution believed
to be the best at a particular time turns out
to be possible to improve in the future.

Logistics based on knowledge and experienceLogistics is considered to be the barom-
eter of the economy. This sector is the
first to feel the symptoms of economic
recovery and the first to experience the
drop of volumes and changes in the di-
rections of the flow of goods. Everyday
challenges require taking instant deci-
sions and such conditions significantly
raise the bar for the operators. Meeting
those requirements calls for streamlining
operational efficiency, fleet modernisa-
tion and developing IT systems. Some of
them provide ongoing solutions, where-
as some of them refer to the strategic
perspective.
In Raben Group one of the most impor-
tant assets is knowledge which allows
for tailoring the services we offer to the
needs of those who look for them. We
gather data and we manage them. We
constantly acquire new skills and com-
petencies. We follow market trends.
We consult our solutions. We utilise the
expertise of both internal and external
experts. We accumulate the acquired
knowledge and we utilise it in everyday
work. The knowledge of the market and
sectors in 10 European countries where
our Business Units are located allows
us to create a new value. We share our
knowledge: we offer logistics solutions
and best practices even for the most de-
manding product groups.
One aspect of our values is the high lev-
el of personal entrepreneurship and the
willingness to learn continually. Tight
interdisciplinary cooperation of the ex-
perts on the national and international
level allows for providing our Custom-
ers with a comprehensive offer adjusted
to their needs. The flat organisational
structure helps to take decisions quick-
ly and fosters the atmosphere which fa-
vours constant exchange of opinions.
What is more, the thing which character-
ises us is the openness to changes. The
experience and knowledge of people
employed in Raben Group allow us to
positively influence the deve lopment of
the company and to shape the competi-
tive advantage of our Customers.

3 > A logistics company is a dynamic, quickly
adapting organism. Hence one of the most
important elements of our organisation are
the People who build it - their engagement,
creativity, openness to change, experience.
We believe that thanks to taking care of
their wellness and development, and tap-
ping into their creativity, we are able to ef-
fectively and flexibly react to the changing
needs of the market. The tool which helps
us to listen to the voice of our Employees
is, among others, the regular engagement
and satisfaction survey. What is more, every-
one is supported by modern tools such as
competencies appraisal, management by
objectives, developmental and training pro-
grammes.
The consistent execution of these assump-
tions builds the feeling of security among our
Employees. People with passion and those
who think in an entrepreneurial manner are
ready to start cooperation with us and they
stay with us for years. We offer opportunities
of promotion, moving to other departments
or working abroad. At the same time, due
to the dynamic development of the com-
pany, we are open to new Employees. The
Strengthof the organisation

combination of their talents, experience
and fresh ideas becomes a powerful force
which drives our organisation. We employ
over 7,500 people in 10 countries so we are
a highly diversified organisation. Success-
ful cooperation in such a large business is
based on looking into the same direction.
That is why we have a clearly defined strate-
gy of achieving our Mission and Vision and
the signposts which we follow - the Values of
Raben Group.

Outstanding Customer ServiceSatisfaction of every Customer is the sum
of all experiences with Raben Group. It de-
pends on the quality of the services and the
service itself. It depends on communication,
exchange of information and the image and
behaviour of our subcontractors. Building
the best Customer service requires under-
standing the point of view of the buyers. The
sector in which our Customer operates and
the size of their company are less important
than the fact that they are satisfied with the
service we offer. Building a company charac-
terised by outstanding Customer service is
one of the key elements of our strategy. We
want logistics to have a human face.
After all we very well know the importance
of personal interaction. B2B sector is based
on meetings of two people who represent
their companies. That is why, each day we
are trying to maximally shorten the way
which our Customers must go through to
contact the right person. We don’t use au-
tomatic and impersonal hotlines but rather
assign caretakers to our Customers, who
build professional and friendly relations with
them during everyday work. Our Customers
know their ”ambassadors” from the Cus-
tomer Service Department and they know
they can rely on them.
Recommendations by our Customers are a
great vote of confidence. We do everything
to earn it and we want Raben Group to be
seen as the logistics operator with the most
friendly Customer service. Each year we re-
search the satisfaction of our Customers in
specialist surveys. We constantly control the
everyday services we offer and we moni-
tor their quality. Thanks to the suggestions
we receive, we are able to find areas which
should be improved. We perfect our servic-
es and implement necessary changes and
we do it for our Customers and together
with them.
Recommendations by our Customers are a great vote of confidence.

At the same time the index implies the development of relation between the consumer and
the brand as a result of its emotional impact on the user. It is worth noticing that an average
NPS of European companies oscillates between +5 and +10 (source: www.netpromoter.com).
Raben Group’s NPS index is growing every year. In the research for 2014 it was +23.

Healthy and safe work Building the high safety culture and perfect-
ing the OHS system in the Group is one of
the key elements of caring for our Employ-
ees, Suppliers and other involved parties.
A good example is the best example and
it motivates Employees to change habits in
the workplace. That is why the engagement
of the Board and top executives has a great
impact on the dynamic development of this
area.
The international team of SHE leaders se-
lected from the top managers of all Raben
companies is responsible for developing
the strategy of risk management and formu-
lating the global and local programmes.
Mission Zero
Our Mission “Zero injuries and occupational diseases” is achieved through local and Group
programmes targeting:
§ creating safe and healthy work positions,
§ planning and changing the processes,
§ increasing the awareness of the OHS system requirements, ergonomics, risks and the rules of prevention in work processes,
§ learning lessons from dangerous incidents in order to avoid repeating mistakes,
§ cooperation with stakeholders regarding observation, notification and elimination of ”sleeping risks”.
In our actions, our objective is for the man-
agers in offices or in warehouses to con-
stantly monitor dangerous technical condi-
tions in processes and people’s actions, to
carry out talks thanks to which they discover
issues which need improving, to eliminate
barriers and gaps in processes, thus to think
about improvements. We strengthen the
safety culture not only through discussions,
meetings, trainings or the development
of the OHS system but, above all, through
involving all parties in changing the safety

Actions undertaken within the SHE culture and the safety systems foster the atmosphere of dialogue, trust and shared responsibility for standards in the workplace.
rules, openness to changes in the organisa-
tion and taking care of the modernisation of
work stations through modern technologi-
cal solutions.
Work places are prepared for our Employ-
ees and Suppliers - with their health and
safety in mind - and the processes in Raben
Group are designed and verified against oc-
cupational risk, existing onerous or harmful
conditions. Regular verification of occupa-
tional risk assessment and monitoring dan-
gerous behaviours and technical conditions
help to improve the existing prevention and
the ergonomics in work processes.
The achievement of the set objectives is the
shared responsibility of the senior execu-
tives, the managers and the Employees. In
order to improve our safety and the safety of
others at work and outside it, we exchange
experiences and we learn from one another.
Actions undertaken within the SHE culture

phere of dialogue, trust and shared respon-
sibility for standards in the workplace.

Openness to new directionsCarrying out logistics operations in the era
of globalisation demands the company
to be present in many places at the same
time in order to be as close to Customers
as possible. Our strength is also defined by
the locations where we render our services.
We have an extensive network of our own
terminals and distribution centres. We have
Business Units in 10 countries of Europe and
thanks to the cooperation with our partners
we are able to reach every place on Earth.
We have developed a complementary and
comprehensive offer - thanks to isolating
individual segments in Raben Group struc-
ture and to launching a separate brand
under which we offer a specialised service
- Fresh Logistics.
Raben Group is a logistics operator which
flexibly adjusts the services to the expecta-
tions of individual Customers. Our objective
is to satisfy the need of the most demand-
ing Customers who look for trusted and
efficient logistics solutions. In order to
achieve that, appropriate resources are es-
sential. Over 6 thousand vehicles at our dis-
posal transport shipments every day: from
the largest container or trailer sets with ad-
ditional cargo space (e.g. double deckers),
to trucks equipped with hydraulic unload-
ing ramps or the smallest vehicles with the
capacity of 1.5 tons used for distribution in
city centres. Our warehouses store goods,
for instance, from the automotive sector,
white and brown goods, oils and lubricants.
Our Customers can use over 1,000,000 m2
of A-class warehouse capacity with diversi-
fied storage conditions. Raben Group has
over 80 warehouse facilities in Europe which
store diversified product groups such as
food, non-food or ADR.

Logistics is more than logic
”Logistics” is the term which in the past referred to mathematical logic. The word derives from
the Greek logistike [techne] – practical ability of counting, logistikon – ability of reasoning*.
Even in the 20th century the term ”logistics” in many countries denoted mathematical logic.
Currently it refers to the process of planning and economical execution of the flow of goods.
The aim of logistics is to satisfy the needs of the Customer in all serviced stages of the supply
chain.
Providing comprehensive logistics solutions, however, requires highlighting the value of every
element which influences them. For us it means much more than just transport or storage. It
is building the relations between Employees and Customers. It is taking small steps together
to reach giant improvements. It is the knowledge we want to share with others. It is working
comprehensively for the common good - for the better future.*source: www.sjp.pwn.pl (Online Dictionary of Polish Language)
